1:10 I’m a lifelong amateur drummer. Dave shows he is the god of rock drums. His groove in the first verse got me. His snare placement and feel in this simplicity is the hardest thing you can pull off as a pro drummer. Usually people think it’s the fast things that are hard. But to maintain energy and pulse in simple moves its the true mastery. What he does here is pure raw drum mastery. So naked and revealing on such a big stage. All this while navigating through curts spontaneous madness. And. When drummers sound this good. The bass is doing it right. Had me in tears. Thank you for the music. All of you.

I understood VERY well how lucky I was to be there. Sleeping in a flooded tent. Stood in the middle of the field on an upturned oil drum with my best mates and a yellow waterproof shielding us from the rain. We knew then we were a part of history and have dined out on the experience every since 👌🏻

Ever since Kurt said he didn't like Smells Like Teen Spirit, every Nirvana fan feels the need to agree with him and say it sucks because they have taken idol worship beyond the point where they can have their own opinions. Stop telling people that they're not a true fan if this is their favorite, music taste is subjective. It's not my favorite Nirvana song, but I'd put it as one of their best. A proper anthem that everyone should stop putting so much pressure on themselves to not like. End of.

I was there in '92, about 15 people back from the front, all day. When the band walked on stage, the 50-60,000 people there pushed closer to the stage and all of us up front were crushed. I was afraid if I breathed out, I wasn't going to get another breath. People were passing out and we'd do the best we could to lift them up and surf them forward. Despite feeling like I'd die from asphyxiation, I'm still happy I was there for the 3rd day of that 3 day grunge festival to see them live, along with all the other great bands. Being that close, we could see Kurt, Dave and Krist jamming side stage to all the other bands playing. A really unforgettable experience
