I’m actually glad I made so many mistakes in my 20s because if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Mistakes are such an important part of life, they teach you valuable lessons and show you how to be better the next time around. Failing is just another step towards improvement, and without those experiences, growth wouldn’t be possible.

I like this video you made. I'm 21 and feel a bit lost in life in general and what it is I want to do. I'm glad you mentioned about "not caring what people think about you" because when you think about it most of those people aren't even trying to achieve anything greater than themselves. Also I believe that a lot of the things you talk about link back to this too. I wish you and anyone else reading this all the best and hope to one day look back from a better position with joy and pride. thank you

Love this vid Nischa - a lot of vulnerability shown. This just goes to show how our mental models on money shape us. When you have a much smaller salary, you think everything can be fixed by a larger one. You can't even imagine how someone on say, triple your salary, could have problems or see a wasted decade in retrospect. But regardless of income levels, the way you perceive money (any amount of money) and the way you use it, the way you think about your own capabilities to do more, make more, serve more is where the real 'work' is

Even though I engage in investing, I feel disheartened by my lack of expertise in assessing the performance of individual companies and determining the optimal timing for stock purchases. The erosion of my financial reserves due to inflation adds to my concerns. At this point, I require precise market trajectory information, but I find myself unsure about the appropriate course of action.

a huge part of why i feel i wasted my 20's (the first half of them really. and also all the years previous to that) is because i surrounded myself with bad people. People who just weren't descent or good, or maybe some of them were but they weren't MY people. It wasn't entirely my fault, i couldn't find them anywhere. It took me a lot of time to finally meet them and let them help me buid my personality and confidence. They helped me to get more experiences and get out of my comfort zone. To understand what i wanted, what i like, what i don't like... they also helped me to heal. Your surroundings are SO important

I'm 30 and I'll be 31 next year. I have so many regrets about what I didn't do or what I did wrong when I was 20. But that's my journey, my story, I think we all have regrets somehow. Don't think too much. Just do it. It's never too late. We can't do the same thinking as when we were 20. But we can do it with what we went through at 30, 40, 50 and make it better. We don't lose if we don't give up.

At 45 I started to get a handle on my finances. I think as long as you start that’s the important thing. Someone said “people make money and they are still broke” and that stuck with me. i've done the opposite of this, travelled, became a freelancer, im a photographer now, and i also feel like im stuck/nowhere etc because i havent 'built' anything (can only rent due to income and being a freelancer, not as much travel as income is unstable) so i guess maybe being 30 is just a big reflection point of 'what have i been doing' this last decade lol, regardless of which path we've chosen (i mean looking back im like, should have built my own business for financial freedom, but that also comes with the cost of spending your young years working 24/7, giving financial freedom, but these people also then end up with so much time they dont know what to do with it) .... I guess my point is everything comes with a cost/down side and makes us question what we're doing. The questioning is a part of the thing of life, and my conclusion is to embrace the questions!! (even though im feeling stuck AF myself aswell now haha! )

What I learned in my 20's and 30's (both good and bad) was consolidated in my 40's and it was then that the boredom started to set in. In our early fifties, with relative financial stability, my wife and I took a leap of faith and started our own business. It was then, and probably only then, that we realised the true value of money and that it wasn't as much about the rewards we could give ourselves, but the financial freedom that we could generate for ourselves. In our late fifties we wound down the business and have used the wealth that we squirreled away to fund an early retirement and our own escape to the country - up sizing to our own country house with a decent amount of space and land. It's tough in your twenties to put the money away, especially when your peers are not. Somehow, seeing what they have is no substitute for a set of numbers on your bank balance - and balance, IMHO is what it is all about - some for a rainy day and some for current reward, just keep the balance .... and always, always, learn from everything that you do.
