Around 12mths ago I filmed a walk around of this little car. Many things have changed since then, video quality is MUCH better and there have been some interesting upgrades on the car.

Haven't even finished the video but felt the need to comment. What an epic build! Thanks for the no-BS in-depth look inside the car. Very interesting to see all the interior tunnel work, not to mention the double pivot point shifter! Such a simple solution - excellent stuff. Keep it up mate.

Well this is a Nissan that can represent us on WRC.

This has been an enjoyable and nostalgic once over lightly for the fanboys, I loved it. Now I'd like a couple more where you detail a complex fitment which is sorta unique to this car, eg. 'your solution' to making 4 .wheel drive from the parts bin. Position of the V6 with respect to the position of the Strut Towers. Or some more of those maths lessons.

I'm waiting until we have the Gloria off the hoist and then I can get the March up there, pull some covers off and clean her up a bit, then go through some of the details that made it all happen :)

Thanks for sharing this info, truly inspiring. Too many cool projects are kept close to the creators' chests.

BMW performance driving school also teaches using the dead petal to support your body position when cornering and I couldn't agree more, it helps for sure. If your still running stock pads and looking for something with bite at low temp check out Carbotech Brakes AX6 pads, they have a heat range of 10c to 537c with a coefficient of .54-.56. Great little car!

I have a k13 march with 1.2L 3 cyl engine. What I wanna do is to move the 1.2L engine into the back to drive the rear 2 wheels and add another 2.0L engine in the front to drive the front 2 wheels. and turbo charge both engines effectively making a 3.2L twin turbo I7 engine :D

Excellent idea, brilliant! And then Chickens would grow teeth.

536 HP to the hubs for those who don't understand KW. This car always amazes me. Such a piece of engineering!

Hi can you give me some more info on the braking system please. I want to upgrade the brakes to discs on my micra/march

Is there any chance of knowing what type of build cost to do something like this would realistically be I'm looking @ converting my Peugeot 206 GTI engine , with a Peugeot V6 PSA engine transplant with twin turbo upgrades etc.. your engine mounted in the back has now help me consider that as a option for me , using maybe the empty engine space for mounting my turbos ? Any way your Micra is just an amazing piece of engineering art , more power to you , ( Kiwi's can fly ) 🇳🇿

Hey man The cost thing really comes down to so many factors I honestly can't give you a solid number. If I were to build a road legal version of this and kept things simple with as many OEM parts as possible and minimizing the number of AN style fittings used etc, I guess you MIGHT get a car up and running for maybe $10K - $15K including the donor cars. As soon as you dive into motorsport safe with the right gear you're tipping another $5K or so on top of it straight away just with the safety related gear. This particular car has evolved a bit from here and had many many parts changed multiple times so actual cost is very blurry, I could potentially replicate for under $100K (NZ) based on only doing things once (maybe lol! )

@@TheLabLimited thanks for reply mate yea I thought as much 🤔 I'm looking @ a budget of about 50k all up so your OEM options might be more realistic for me , any way all the best for your future endeavours

Al from The Skid Factory used some type of scavenger pump on the drain on a turbo he mounted really low. To prevent the oil bypassing like you mentioned. I can't remember which car it was though.
@TheLabLimited4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a common simple solution but also adds potential for failure, more weight and more cost. I have a handful of plans in my head, one day one of them might make it into the car and get it sorted, is not a big issue right now but certainly not ideal.

@@TheLabLimited A couple of those pulse fuel pumps that are used on lawnmowers. LOL!

I believe it was the barra transit and they did post up about a ez30? Legacy recently that they had to redo. Think they offer a turbo sump and pump on their gt86 turbo kit.

This car, in the same configaration will be a run away WRC winner, wiping the floor with the R5 Yaris, Polo, Fabia,Hyundai i20 and Msport Fiesta,.
