I would go for the juke, I just wish it had more power. I like the jukes quirky looks honestly.

It's honestly grown on me since filming this, and that's saying a LOT! More power and no CVT it would be a lot more fun.

I really appreciate this video well done! We were on the verge of buying a 2015 countryman but I wasn’t a fan of Mini Cooper. We ended up buying a 2015 Nismo RS all-wheel-drive and we do love it. The Ricardo seats take a little getting used to but has a lot of excitement on on and off ramps in the highway. I really was looking forward to them evolving the Nismo I was very disappointed when they discontinued.

The NISMO RS would have been the perfect version to feature against this, finding them up here is pretty tough, I'm glad to hear that you have one! I've started noticing some of the NISMO Jukes on the road since filming this. I really came to like the Juke a lot after filming this. I'd love to try out the FWD RS manual to see how that engine & transmission compares to this one.

PRN_TestDrive The Nismo RS AWD is incredible in the snow!!! All-around a really fun car. I wish they would a little bit more luxury to it I’d be willing to pay the difference. We’re going to traded in for a CX5 signature but I wanna wait to 2020 version

I’m really glad I was able to feature it. I’ve spotted quite a few Nismo/RS since filming this.

I've seen more minis in mechanic shops then jukes over the years. I got my daughter a 2014 nismo juke she loves it.

I've owned a cooper, and my ex had a cooper s. I drive a nismo RS now and love it! Definitely a step up from the standard mini in my opinion.

the thing is i like the juke but the problem is that 1.6 engine its not that great if they put the 2.5 altima engine then that would be perfect
@PRNTestDrive5 жыл бұрын
The power was definitely the weak point for the Juke during filming, along with the CVT. Especially now that so many manufacturers are going weird with their subcompact crossovers in North America, Nissan could have stood out with the Juke NISMO and beefed it up.

good morning, what is the reliability of this Nissan engine? I'm trying to buy one just like it but with a manual gearbox. What is the average fuel consumption I can expect from this car? thanks
@PRNTestDrive2 ай бұрын
I don't see many of these on the road, they didn't sell a lot which doesn't help. I think it'll ultimately come down to how the previous owners maintained the vehicle.

The problem with either of these cars is that VW GTI exists. It can be had in black and red, with a better ride and handling balance than either of these and at lower prices. Plus you know GTI is here to stay.
@PRNTestDrive5 жыл бұрын
Or even the VW Golf Alltrack, as it's a little higher off the ground if needing something with ground clearance is putting you in the Countryman/Juke market. We've got the 2019 Rabbit GTI booked in about a month, I'm looking forward to it!

While the gti is a good car it’s a shoebox and for my screams boy racer. People who buy MINIS know they’re expensive but they know that and love them and what I believe draws people to minis is the individualizing and steering feel. Neither of which the GTI have IMO. Great car but once you’ve a GTI you’ve basically seen them all.

I can't stand CVT's in general and the ones on Nissan are tend to be the worst.
@PRNTestDrive5 жыл бұрын
And that's what ultimately kills it for this car. The JCW is a lot of fun with that auto, plus you can get a regular 6 speed manual if you want. I'm not saying Nissan would have sold them in the millions, but the 6 speed manual with AWD would have been a smart choice for this car.

I don’t know where you were in Canada but the Nissan footage was from my home town. I grew up in Long Beach California. My neighbor has a Juke btw. Fun car

It's a tough one! I'll be really surprised if anyone guesses, but good spot on the B-Roll! We're lucky Nissan had excellent footage of the Juke NISMO on their media website, helped to balance out the footage from the mud pit we filmed in.

Nice review. Debating buying a used juke nismo here in canada. However, the RS never released in Canada, just USA for the north american market. Cause ive looked everywhere.

Honestly it's been years since we filmed this so I don't remember what I found during research. Driving.ca did a review of a 2016 Nismo RS, so I imagine they were sold here, just not many: driving.ca/reviews/road-test/car-review-2016-nissan-juke-nismo-rs-awd

@@PRNTestDrive no no you are right. Literally saw a white nismo rs today in Surrey BC. The irony. Vehicle sales were probably limited however

Agreed, I don't imagine they sold many of them.

that steering wheel on the juke is hideous . to me the mini wins this showdown it looks better outside and inside great episode Nile thanks.

Thanks for watching! The 2019 Mini definitely wins, but I found a few 2016 Countrymans for sale and the interior isn't as nice. Mini has done a great job with this generation.
