Hey guys, I understand that this particular review of this Nissan NP200 is controversial, and I have learnt to not do reviews that way. I would appreciate it if you watch my most recent review of the NP200 Safety Pack instead of this particular one. I promise you will not regret it because quality really has improved during these past few years. Here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moa0dqh4p9pjmpIsi=r9awK-xy-gzqENBB Thank you, I hope you have a great day!

One question. My dad provided for my family with generated by a bakkie like this and he had cancer and worked with his bakkie until the day he died in October this year. He was an electrician by trade. I now own his bakkie and it’s invaluable to me. I love it! I have a question for you. Did you buy this bakkie with your own hard earned money ? If you did , then it’s a great honest review. One can only value something if you worked hard for it. Just my view 🙏🏽❤️ but it’s a good honest review.

It was not the second best selling bakkie in SA for nothing, new it dont even have air con as standard or rear window, can buy a full house car for less money than this costs new BUt it is a top seller and beat Ford! Sales figures dont lie. Very popular for sure.

Well what can I say, went on YT looking for a useful informative review on the NP200, ideally from someone who understands what potential owners might want and/or need from a working vehicle. Instead I found this video which is pretty much the polar opposite!. Rather than wasting 15 minutes of peoples lives, you could just say something like this:, "This is the Nissan NP200, a small bakkie. I don't like it because it looks too plain and has too much plastic. If you want some useful info, watch someone else's review"
@YoungCarWiz3 жыл бұрын
That’s why I created KZbin Shorts on my recent videos. My reviews tend to go in detail as I like to cover everything of a car so that people know exactly what they buying. Have a great day

Also you do realise almost all cars have a plastic bumper. Comparing things like hid or led lights on a budget comercial vehicle?
@YoungCarWiz2 жыл бұрын
I know most cars have a plastic bumper. But this isn’t colour coded like on the Chev utility or any other competitors (there’s not many).

This compared to the dci... Pros and cons please?
@YoungCarWiz3 жыл бұрын
DCI would be a much better option because it’s more economical, it has more torque and it’s cheaper to run
@YoungCarWiz3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching!
@badbusdriver71603 жыл бұрын
Yes, the DCI is more efficient and has more torque(*). But like for like, it is going to be much more expensive to buy than the petrol(**). So whether or not it is cheaper to run will depend on your doing enough miles that the economy benefit cancels out how much more it cost to buy in the first place. Also, while that Nissan/Renault 1.5DCI is generally a reliable engine, as with pretty much all relatively modern diesels, if it does go wrong, it will cost much more to fix than a simple naturally aspirated 1.6 petrol. *While torque is nice, unless you regularly carry heavy loads or tow, it probably won't be worth the extra cost to buy. **On Autotrader right now the cheapest NP200 is R79,900 for a 2013 1.6 petrol with 90,000KM. Cheapest DCI is R82,900, that is the same age, but has done 227,000KM!. Cheapest DCI with under 120,000KM is R99,700. So with all that in mind, along with your budget, you really need to work out what fits your needs best.

@@badbusdriver7160 The DCI SE is better in every aspect than the petrol tho
@badbusdriver71603 жыл бұрын
@@YoungCarWiz That may be the case, but V Power Electrix doesn't ask which is best, he asks for pro's and con's between the petrol and diesel.

True. A second hand Navara is a much better option. Only difference would be fuel economy and the price of license. However, it’s better value for money

@DarthSeanious2 жыл бұрын
Its not the best looking but its the only option in that size/price market here. We would all love top of the range double cab 4x4s but they are kak expensive and chow fuel. Many many businesses need small efficient (relatively) bakkies. Ford should really reintroduce the bantam. And Toyota should make a small bakkie. It would be like printing money for them. Even Izusu could remake the 'Chev' utility locally. Till then this is all we have
@YoungCarWiz2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Please note that a Chev Utility is much better than this Nissan NP200… and costs the same

I really don't care if it is bad or good. I wouldn't buy one because they are "p o e s" ugly along with its older brother the NP300! No wonder the SAPS are buying so many of them because even criminals will run when they see such an uggly thing comming at them. I mean buying a car is like getting a girlfriend. She must be pretty because you wouldn't mind a "stootjie" now and then like you would with a ranger. Ugliest cars ever built! She's the betty in the corner no one wants! Don't make her pregnant, choose wisely!
