@@AndyTheXTech Worked out a better way to remove the bearing. Remove the retaining clips for the shoes. Knock the bearing round with a punch or drift, back and forth a bit helps. Leave the solid part over the holes and knock through from behind with punch. Dont forget to put clips back on.

Hi Andy. Wow, how'd you get onto the hub bolts so easily? And with an impact socket too. I'm into this job right now and having a hard time getting a standard socket onto the bolt head. Darn axle is in the way. Are you using special thin wall impact sockets or something? Going to pick up parts and to see about a thin wall socket or at least one I can turn down a bit. Thank you!
@AndyTheXTech3 жыл бұрын
Ya I used medium size swivel sockets. They do have a thinner wall and are easier to get in tighter areas. 👍
@dalehastings77114 ай бұрын
I had a really hard time with those also. I could not find a thin wall swivel socket. I finally took an old 6 pt 11/16 socket (17mm) and ground down the outside of the socket by where the axle boot was touching it. That worked.

Hi Andy, Nice video, thank you for the 32 mm nut size tip. What did you mean with spread the grease a little bit? Also what lubricant did you apply, if any, on the axle before connecting it to the roller hub.
@AndyTheXTech2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! To be honest with you I’m not really sure what I meant by the grease I had to watch the video again. What I think I meant is the anti-seize in the location where the two pieces could corrode. If yours is pretty rusted then clean it up with a wire brush and put a thin coat of anti-seize on the surface that would contact the hub. 😁👍

Hi. Amazing video, but what are the torque specs for the hub bolts and axel nut?
@AndyTheXTech3 жыл бұрын
The rear axle nut is 177 ft/lbs 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. It says 44 ft/lbs for hub to knuckle. That seems a little low to me but that’s what it says.

What is the torque spec for the four bearing bolts? What is the torque spec for the axle nut? How about re-doing this video to include replacement of the brake dust shields also?

would a titan rear hub bearing fit instead of a pathfinder/frontier hub? I want the 5.5 to put on titan wheels, make sense?
@AndyTheXTech3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think so the titan has a solid rear end. Pathfinder is independent suspension. For this body style anyway. Sorry you might be able to get special adapters for the wheels you want.
@performance8083 жыл бұрын
It won't I'm doing a armada hub swap itch uses titan bolt pattern you will need all 4 knuckles from a armada to change to a better bolt pattern

@@performance808 Awesome I love stuff like this. you should make a video or at least post on social media. Defiantly let me know how it works out for you.

@@AndyTheXTech it's cool most suspension parts fit either pathfinder and armada I'm doing a full 5in armada lift with its knuckles and 3in body just for fun

@@performance808 ya this is cool. I definitely want to see some pictures of it when you’re done. 👍

I have a Nissan pathfinder 2001 manual transmission, when the gear on natural the RPM is normal, but when I shift to first gear the RPM increase with sound ( without moving ), Can someone help me ?
@AndyTheXTech4 жыл бұрын
That’s interesting I’ve never heard of that. I wonder if you need to clean the throttlebody, and maybe do a tuneup plugs and wires, cap and rotor. I would check the grounds also maybe when you’re shifting it into gear one of the grounds is loose or broken. I hope this helps. Thanks for checking out the video.
