I bought a 2024 manual in August. I just got home from my first road trip, put over 1200 miles on it on this trip. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and capable it was on the freeway. The only negative I can say was that when you are directly behind a semi, at highway speed, the car does get buffeted around a little bit - nothing scary. Just don't tailgate semis. After this trip, my overall average is 44.6 MPG. It was a very relaxing car to drive, even through construction zones. The small size and ease of maneuvering is much nicer than my F150 with an 8 ft bed. LOL Just a note: The 2025 has some new features that are nice. My dealer told me that I could order one, but the wait might be 6-8 months. Finally, regarding the Android Auto - I was very disappointed I couldn't get it. I did buy an aftermarket portable screen. It connects to my phone via Bluetooth, and my phone still connects to the car via the USB charge cable. The Android screen sits reasonably securely right on top of the car's infotainment screen (there is a small groove along the top). It does partially block the center vents, but wasn't a problem for me. I was able to use the Android Auto and still receive phone calls via the car radio. Pleasantly surprised that they worked well together. Had to rely on the Android screen speakers for audible driving directions. One more note: Regarding the CVT, my understanding is that the Versa had fewer CVT problems than the larger vehicles with larger engines. The low horsepower, and light weight of this car is easier on the CVT, so fewer problems. Also, changing the CVT fluid regularly (every 30,000 miles) helps a lot with the longevity.

Thanks for all that helpful information! And also the information regarding the CVT. I’m glad to hear that there will be some changes in the new model. Happy driving!

Your background noise is very distracting but I like your comments so that is just me.

The first gear is still pretty low, but I think it would be a good choice. I’m not sure how long they will continue making cars like this so it would be a good idea to grab one while you can!!

By the time we might get a new car this might be gone. Sigh I am totally old fashioned at age 65. Learned to drive on a true VW microbus 4 speed 1970 bus in 1982.

@@francesschaeferI learned on an 81 VW Rabbit diesel pickup! Nice easy transmission to start with.
