So you've taken apart the valve body, or you haven't yet, but wanted to see how it looks like to put it back together? Thanks for asking. Here's just that.

Notes:
Be very careful to not lose the retaining pins, and also the 2 check ball valves, please watch the video to see where they are located.
Parts needed:
1. 5 new solenoids - B, G, A, F, and TCC Solenoids
2. 5 solenoid filters (included with REF011A transmission master rebuild kit)

The ball valve controls the flow. The ball valve open when the liquid is inline with the flow and lets the liquid through. If liquid goes a different way the ball valve will close that hole. Very important and do not misplace the ball valve.

I'm so confused how many variations of that valve body are there. I'm trying to fix a 2014 sentra's. I ended up using a 2013 Sentra valve body but it doesn't use the same wire harness. What's going on?

I changed the pnp switch for the transmission. Car was going limp once I'm awhile and going reverse in park mode occasionally too. Now the issue is sometimes loud noise with light shaking. Not going into reverse all the time. Have to restart the car and reverse will then work. Could this be the valve body or is it the solenoid?

We're in 23' and the car is an 09'. Can buy a whole car with that price. And online they want from 7 to 1100. But I don't trust them I think they're scams. No, there is a EEPROM on the valve body that saves the memory, easy to remove. If you swap valve bodies you will have to swap that EEPROM using your original one, but if you are just changing the solenoids and using the same valve body, there should not be any issues. my transmission revs high and seems like doesnt want to go into "higher gear". i discovered that I have 6qts of oil inside when i drained oilpan, instead of around 3 quarts. now when i put the trany into netral and let rmps drop, it shifts or goes back to normal. please advice what my issue could be, belt? Valve body?

Have you pulled down the transmission oil pan? I would suggest. Taking out the transmission oil first, then take out the tranny pan, then take out and replace the transmission filter, clean the oil pan and all the metal debris inside thats attached to the 2 magnets on the pan, remove and replace the transmission cooler filter, it is possible that debris is clogging up those filters. Put a new tranny filter, new tranny cooler filter, put back the tranny pan and gasket, and put in new transmission oil. Before taking off for a test drive, make sure to switch the gears PRNDL stay around 10 seconds on each gear, and switch around go from P to L, P to D, etc in order to get all the transmission fluid to flow through the gears.

@@TheLaborService I finally found a parts car to pull the whole valve body from. My question is how do you pull the black cylinder shaped harness plug from the car itself? Trying to remove a used valve body from the parts car but it seems to be lock to the transmission. Is there a certain clip holding it in?

@@CP-nh6ml You got to use a flat heat screw driver to push down the clip its somewhere on the side from the top of the connector. And then the whole thing turns and you can pull it off. I've got some screen shots from my video that I haven't got to edit yet.. Press on this tab, and you should be able to unlock it and turn it counter clockwise to remove the connector... i.postimg.cc/BbXNPVRV/Capture.png and i.postimg.cc/nzLGNWVh/Capture2.png After the connector comes off you may have to push it down with a rubber mallet or something to get the valve body off.

If the transmission is a REF011A / JF015E the valve body should be the same, but if it is a different model the valve body may be different, however, the same parts should still exist in the other valve body. It's possible to have different solenoids and numbers of filters etc, but the rebuild process should be fairly the same. Just make note of everything when you are take it apart and be careful not to lose place where the check balls are.

@@LYVEWYRE12000 Sadly no, you'll have to take the whole thing out and clean it and rebuild. There is also not enough space to just pull out the pulleys and belt. And when putting it back it must be precise and straight as well, doing it in the vehicle would not be great.

Very helpful video, I just have a question can you still reuse the plate/gasket that is sandwiched between the valve body and also what’s the torque sequence when putting the valve body together and also installing the valve body back into the the transmission.

If you are talking about the metal plate between the valve body, yes clean it and reuse it, change the small screen filters inside. No torque sequence on the valve body.I would just do a criss cross pattern.

@@TheLaborService my 2013 Sentra which I believe is the same as your versa’s transmission is shifting very weird and slow and even stoping driving at one point I got a check engine light code of p285a I hope cleaning the valve body and solenoids as well as changing both filters and the oil solves my problem. I hope the new Nissans aren’t crappy like ours. 🙏🙏🙏

No you do not, you have to drop down the tranny pan, remove the tranny filter, remove the bolts with the number 9 on it, I believe it has a 9 on it or 10. There are bolts in there with a number, its the only ones that have a label them, do not remove the unlabelled bolts, and then disconnect the valve body connector. And it should come out.

@@victoriablevins2654 That part has nothing to do with the valve body. That is a speed sensor, there is one that goes on the sub assembly and one that goes on the transmission. Where that goes is shown in a different video.

Sorry for the late reply, it should be the Primary Pressure "B" solenoid in the clip. I would recommend just take apart the entire valve body, cleaning it, adding new solenoid filters, and also new solenoids.

The rebuild kit, and the secondary, primary, and belt, were all purchased on Alibaba.com. The company I spoke with and got very helpful information from was Guangzhou Xinyulin Auto Parts Co., Ltd. And they are the people that supplied the parts for me. The pulley kit was $236.50. and the master rebuild kit was $89.50. With shipping and everything it was $475. Shipment was also quite fast. I believe it was less than a week to arrive. The solenoids, transmission oil pump, Loctite SI5460, transmission NS-2 Nissan, were purchased on Ebay.

@@acrophobiar1 No, but just a to let you know, if you decide to buy a new valve body, all you would simply have to do is swap that small EEPROM on the valve body, so you would not have to go through the reprogramming at the dealership. Swap that small black box, where the transmission connector is connected to with the green connector on the wiring harness. Put your original one in the new valve body. Hope that didn't sound confusing.

@@TheLaborService i swapped the whole trans out with a "factory rebuilt one" and i have no reverse but its the same issue you had everything works exept reverse im thinking that piston is in wrong like yours was. Or should i try the valve body off old trans?

@@acrophobiar1 Ahh so hard to say, you know I had to do some trial and error myself. I would probably just try the old valve body first, it's easier than having to pull out the whole tranny again. Good luck! let me know how it goes. Someone who isn't experienced enough would have just put the cover on and crushed that piston down, in which I did. But, if you bought it rebuilt, say let's give it the benefit of the doubt they knew what they were doing, I'd say try swapping the valve body. If not, then you'll probably have to go in and check. It such a pain.

I know the dealer will simply pull out your old transmission and put in a new one, which cost around $3500. They usually don't rebuild CVTs, I don't know why. It definitely takes some time to do. If I were to be doing this given all the parts, it would probably take 4-7 days. In this case, I was filming, and having to order parts mid way, which took me a bit over a month to do. I wasn't on any time frame.

When was the last time the transmission fluid was changed? did the filter get changed? did the cooler filter get changed? what kind of transmission fluid was used? How many miles does the car have? Does this happen all the time? or some times? Does it feel like its slipping? or is the RPM just going high, but the car is not going fast?

@@nilugajjar8205 Did it start shifting bad after the transmission fluid change? Well, from what I know is, Nissan Transmission must use Nissan NS-2 or NS-3 depending on your vehicle or Idemitsu CVTF. Idemitsu actually supplies the CVT oil to Nissan and they rebrand it and price it up is what I've been told. You can probably research more. I believe that the Lucas oil might be making the oil overheat, these transmissions are very sensitive to contamination. My best guess is that the Lucas CVT is the incorrect oil and if it happened after the transmission change, it now need a really good flush, and all filters changed again. When did this start to happen? These transmission also have a life of around 80,000 miles to 120,000 miles. Have you changed the fluids before? or was this your first time? My transmission belt inside broke into pieces around 110,000 miles, with bad maintenance of course, I was not aware how much maintenance these transmission needed.
