Hi Matt. So I had a TUP 1000 delivered today. Very shocked in how small it is. Plasticky, light... The display as you stated is very cool and inovative. Wish all my lights had it. I'll go for the 10000 lume. Box light you showed us. Little more beef. Regular batteries I can change out.

Nice. I too have looked askance at the 10K for the same reasons. My trio of Olight M30 Triton lights are still my go-to because they're familiar and have a dedicated button for the strobe. I have other, newer and brighter lights, but the M30 is what lives in my bedside table.

yeah, had a SRT too, i think the SRT3, very nice EDC used it for over a year. But at all, i missed some power after a while, and got a modded Ledlenser F1 for rechargeble 16340 AW IMRs, 1000lm+ 10 minute dragster from a TLF member The Ring control of the SRTs is so awesome, its really uncomparable to other switches. I got a Thrunite TN35 with ring control years ago. still the lamp to go when i need a "perfect" allrounder. nice flood, nice, "tight" throw for about 400-500m, 100% 2750 lumen (max) stable since the big surface/material, and a nice runtime with 3x 18650 3500mA. A little bigger than regular lights, but thats a proper flashlight.

Hey Matt a bit off topic but could you please advise/warn people and show demonstrations of the variations in the nichia 219C; they run from 3,000 all the way up to what about 5,700? I made the mistake of buying an Nichia 219c thinking that it was going to be down in the living room light range (Like my Manker E02). Nope. Researched it all too late. Nothing worse than turning on a flashlight in your home and all of a sudden feeling like you're shopping inside of a Walmart.

Writing this here just coz its your last video. So, for someone in search & rescue who already has an Olight R50 Pro Seeker for closer search and is looking for a thrower now, what would you recommend? But I do have criteria, looking for best performance between 300-700 metres (2300 feet), im mindful not to have excessive focused hot spot, ie: shit loads of candela, id like a little spill. Lumens wise is pending a lot of other stuff but between 3000-10,000 seems about right (more doesnt hurt), preferably rechargeable via cord/magnetic but not a must, looking around $200-$300 AUS ($139-210 U.S). I am interested in your opinion as you would know, lumens, candela, distance is all waffle until you actually test and see for your self. I have a list of 5-10 but I keen for you to list a few options.

The mh20gt is my favorite for sure. I do MTB riding in the darkness and I it is on my handlebar position. Even with the mid power it is capable of to throw thru over my helmet light's massive "flood light" in front of me. I have about 2k lumens for 4 hours or even more up to 50 meters from my helmet light but I just can't see to distance corners. I mean my headlight it is also blocking my view because of massive light output! The mh20gt solves the problem and opens kind of "light pipe" thru all that flood light in front of me :-) Combination of two is amazing! Some dudes said to me that they were thinking about the train was coming thru them because they were riding the same route in next to the railway to my direction :-)

P12GT is my favorite, but the TM26GT is an absolute MONSTER. It has about the same throw of my Catapult V6, but with a massive spread. The TM26GT is chunkier, but not massive by any means, it fits in your pocket although it’s a bit heavy.

Budget EDC? Is the Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 counts as a budget light? I will receive a Convoy T2, hopefully in this month, same prices, but promises somewhat more light from an AA 1.5V cell. Also, I am glad to see the 6 LED brick in action :) gives much spill, that in Turbo I can bet it blinds the user as well :D

How's the parasitic drain on those Nitecore flashlights? That brand tends to have problems with draining batteries when idle. I have an older EC4GT and it seems OK as long as I leverage lockout frequently. It's still losing some because it's an e-lockout. But otherwise, such a superb light. On sale it's $35, so at half the cost of a comparable EC4GTS, it's hard to beat.

I've not done testing for that, but I have this data. I charged up the tup and TM10 before making the video. Took the beam shots you saw in this video plus a little more than you see. Placed them on my shelf. Today is 7/26/19 The Tup is showing me 4.02 volts and the TM10K 3.75 volts. Hard to draw a conclusion from this since I did not record voltage at the time they were placed on the shelf, but for me both lights seem to be within acceptable tolerance.

I’m very attempted to by the tm10k, 10000 Lumens in a such a compact flashlight is great but there are 2 major issues for me, the impossibility to change the battery and the heat dissipation, they could make the flashlight a few centimetres longer and the head a little bit bigger for some fins to manage the heat. for the moment i prefer acebeam l30 gen2 but probably I will by it gust for curiosity 🤣

You are correct. My point was 2 cells in the same short distance. Essentially it works out to be the same thing. Two cells in this case still gives you double the amount of available power vs using only one cell. :)

Very nice review. I had a nitecore Nitecore EC4GT, and it only worked for 7 months due to the design of the tail screw mechanism. The screw/thread on the body of the flashlight can get loose and prematurely wear, due to constantly changing the batteries, better lubricate that part once in a while. I now use the Convoy S11, Nitecore MH10, and Nicore EC 10, Nitecore TM 28(this flashlight is just for show, lol). Awesome flashlights. My daily carry is the MH10, as it is USB rechargeable and fits my pocket. I have other Convoy flashlights, LED variants of S2+'s. Thanks

Not for normal people. $300 for a flashlight! Btw, what's the practical use of turbo or burst if it only lasts for less than 30 seconds?

7 seconds? Why? I feel like I'm missing something, seems kind of gimmicky...

After seeing the disassembly of the tm10k with its isolated copper heatsink internally, it’s forever a garbage design. I’m sure I’m not alone.

Im dissapointed with tup. The spot is very small, barelly enough for one person to walk. Also the clip is a nightmare, very stiff. A much better keychain fl is Tip2. Ofc, i understand people have different needs.

Merci

It's a single 21700 battery light that is being pushed to its limit. So it has its limitations.

Yep, considering what many of these lights are going for("price point" HaHaHa) there probably should be simple efficient readout. Just hope they don't start to look like "smart" phones. I appreciate the advancements in click switches ya'll have made I really do, but I can't keep all the different sequences and timings in my head. Even a simple double click can be wonky to pull off sometimes. You will naturally double click as you do on your computer mouse every day (See Pavlov), but the mechanics are completely different between the two throwing the timing off. Easy to foul up such a seemingly simple action ... and that can be frustrating. With age we become even less coordinated as well. Your morse code example was right on the money. Click and turn or press and turn knobs would be popular I suspect. I'd enjoy hearing any problems with using them. These are very fine points and too fine for most but it is what developers do. I can tell you engineers naturally like to complicate everything. Designers, the few good ones anyway simplify. Really enjoying my new GT Mini and a GT is on the horizon.

It's no different from many things I've seen, like firearms or computer parts. It helps tell the models apart with just a bit of information.
