New cure for common cold? Please test. Stood next to a fire too long and my temp went into the solid red then my cold went away. After i cooled off it came back because i didnt have any way to disinfect my clothing. It makes sense because heat kills viruses, thats the whole point of the fever. I never see this bought up though. Am i crazy?

not always the case. your food last you longer if you keep it in yellow. so if you are about to travel a far distance i wouldnt bother eating till i get to where im looting than go to white

@@ShoresyLK69 the game is trivially easy in terms of food. I dont care at all about the food lasting longer. I always eat everything I find and leave most behind even. It never goes down into the partially filled apple.

just a few things to add : - Eat/drink even when you're in the white, do it until the arrows no longer go up, there is close to double the amount you can take than what is shown in the icons, giving you much much longer before it drops down to yellow with no eating/drinking - Immunity : When you are at the highest of immunity (blood, health, drink and food in white), you can eat raw meat and drink from ponds with no fear of getting a disease.. use this as an advantage if you know you are short on food or water and haven't eaten anything in a while to keep it in white. - Multivitamins pills are your friend : pop one and feel free to drink in a pond safely until the pill icon disapears - Broken bones : The heavier you are, the more likely you are to break a leg... meaning if you're unsure of a drop, but it looks like you could make it, drop your backpack or any heavy items, and it will better your odds of not breaking a bone - Epipens also stop you from passing out with damage and will make someone wake up instantly

@@jackwilson-oo6jb depends on what you're planning to do... anything that might make you get a sickness ? pop one.. low immunity and cold ? pop a few until you got your immunity high enough again

Here's a tip I didn't know until it happened. If you get gas poisoning & you have your own blood drawn in an IV bag it will work & cure you in the same way a POX injection will. Not sure if you can use compatible blood to cure yourself but your own will for sure. Hope this helps....

Me too lol. I was in a private server, so I had a pharmacy in my bag. Got gassed in Tisy and decided to use all the meds I had... and the blood worked 😂

I stumbled upon a house. A house which a man was preparing to barricade and make a base for him self. Crates, a barrel. I seen him leaving but I decided to not shoot because I felt bad if I sniped him from far like a rat. But as I approached I ran in thinking it’s just a house he looted out in the country and may have left some items. As I walk in. There was a fucking bear trap and it got me Good. Luckily I had some sticks from making a fire previously. I took my clothes off, crafted rags, made the splint and looted the crates and got the hell out of there. All while panicking that he would come back any minute and kill me. Reverting days of progress. I made it out, got to another house. Waiting for my leg to heal, went back out for revenge. Funny enough he still hadn’t come back so I looted the rest of the crates and ran off into the night . Simple story but man That was a blast while doing a solo. Love this crazy Ass Game

One I figured out recently, I was effectively dying of thirst and found a saline bag and starter so I hooked that up and since I was low on blood too anyway, I used it and the saline also rehydrates you! I figured it might cause that's what they also do in real life but it was cool to find out.

Not generally advisable, but if I’m low on alcohol I’ll save the last few drops for the wound infection instead of soaking rags that may become damaged. Thought process is I can still only get one wound infection if treated multiple bleeds at once and not guaranteed to get an infection from one-off cuts. Sound logic or no?

First thing i do when i spawn is look for disinfectant, knife (or 2 small stones) rope ( or 12 rags) and go fishing. Food is the biggest enemy as a freshie in my opinion

This is something I do. Always try to carry two epinephrine and morphine for either yourself or someone else. Both have their uses and having either on hand can save you or your buddies life

Hey so quick question. I cure myself of the cold and it just comes back in 5 mins on its own. All my stats are white but i still keep getting sick. I dont even have head wear or gloves cause i keep getting sick. And tips on how i could permanently remove the cold without restarting my character?

Hmm that is odd, double check your rags are disinfected, water is clean... sounds odd though huh.

You can also use rags as hand wraps if you need to cut up some meat and can't wash your hands after. They work as gloves

It takes some hours to get used to the map for sure. Most major towns will have some form of a hospital. Tetra is not guaranteed, but can be often be found there. Good luck out there!

I have yet to find any meds at several medical buildings and 2 hospitals, 16 hours in the game so far. Currently dying of an infection from a zombie attack.

It can be rough, keep at it! You can also find regular Alcohol tagged as found in "Towns and Villages". I like to say if you can be suborn with the game and get to the 50 hour mark, the game really starts to click.

Similar situation yesterday. Wound infection, at the verge of death, but I kept going down the road and found night vision goggles, and a 20rd mag for a vaiga, and a disinfectant. Military convoy and the house right by it lol. Perseverance is key and luck plays a big factor

I'm brand new. Spawned in and got torn up by a group of zombies. Now my character blacks-out and loses consciousness every 30 seconds. Can't figure out what to do about it. The bandage i spawned with has no "use" prompt. Maybe I used it already? I don't know how to tell. Worst of all, he won't die. I literally just spawned with nothing. I found a shotgun with 1 shell in it which I already fired at those zombies. I just black-out, wake up, take a couple steps, black-out again, forever. Been maybe 30 minutes of this. Why can't I just die and respawn?

Next time you pass out, you can hit escape and a prompt will come up allowing you to choose to respawn (console is the same but another button). Likely what happened is the zombie made you bleed, you lose enough blood, your character will pass out until it regains enough blood. The whole game is not like this, just a rough start. Keep at it. Check out some of my beginner guides.

I've been accidently ingesting massive amounts of human meat both Raw and cooked and now my character seems to think everything is funny and also I can't shoot that great. Can I cure it with medicine? I have alot half a backpack full of human meat so I'm almost through with it.

You can't cure Kuru,go to an easy acces town and chose a hidden place to commit in game suicide if you have good loot on you and get back to the corpse fast and recover your gear

I also don’t kos or anything, even against no mics and geared players, unless they are actually aggressive or I have reason to believe they aren’t friendly. Im pretty bad at PvP, and I tend to die a lot, betrayed by the people I trust or try to befriend. Maybe I’m missing something? Can’t be I’m too trusting could it…

With the new update to fight fever 2 tetra one multi and one cold pill I found out by try it after read the update on patch notes I try using because as the patch notes have been changing

As an honest question: how often do you guys become sick? I haven't had it in ages, so I don't carry tetracycline too often. But that may set me up for death.

It depends, you do get colder the higher in elevation, mix that with being wet, it can happen. Getting a rough start on food water can also lead you to getting sick.

I'll say this: the best way to not get sick is to not get sick to start with.. once you get wet, cold, sick, starving etc it's WAYYY easier for it to happen again. On the other hand.. having everything "white" makes it WAYYY harder for you to get sick, starve etc. So if you have food don't wait till you're starving.. eat it. Don't run far away thinking you'll be OK while dehydrated.. once you get "fucked up" it'll be a full time job to keep yourself alive for the next 20 mins.. it could take you hours or even days to get back to half being healthy... totally not worth it and i recommend respawning If you don't end up healthy with a knife and a weapon/ fishing rod atleast before you leave coast

Thank you so much for this tips. I just got Day Z and while it's fun being a newbie it does get annoying not knowing what to do. Took me an hour with no guides just to figure out how to make a fire and cook lol. However now I've got a little camouflaged base set up and surviving. Although I definitely need some friends to play with.

If the bandage doesn't have the "disinfected" tag, when you inspect the item, it can lead to infection.

Good question, as long as it's disinfectanted, it's good. Just keep in mind a rag has a chance it can lose its disinfected status if damaged.

That can be a pain. Over time you'll learn to avoid illness, but sometimes it happens to everyone.

Great tips. I didn't not know you could double up on meds. I knew taking more than one of the same med didn't work but I thought that applied to all meds. Good to know can take a tet pill and a vitamin pill at the same time foe quicker recovery.

Just vitamins can stack with 1 other. For example. Vitamins + Tetra = ok, but Tetra + Charcoal = One overrides the other.
