ONE BIT I TOTALLY FORGOT TO PUT IN THE VIDEO! The artbook says that Cy was just meant to be a joke reference to Metal Sonic, which I guess explains why they don't follow up on it as a cliffhangar. It wasn't meant to imply a second game as much as it was just a silly bonus clip, my guess.

I love it so much how they didn't just forget that Ty has a family and you can actually visit his parents and even brother. They could've just made up some excuse as to why they are not in this game, especially Sly, he could've just go off on his own adventure since he's presented as a lone too cool for school guy. Instead they put them all in the game as an impostant part of gameplay, tht's so neat. And Sly settling down to become a boomerang merchant is unironically adorable

Fun fact actually, the mud and sand sections that slowed you down DID serve a purpose in the original. According to the developers, the mud was meant to slow the player and serve as a makeshift loading screen between areas. Because the consoles of the generation couldn't load the rest of the map on the fly, the mud and sand would slow you to a crawl so the parts of the map you were headed towards could load in. Now that the re-release is on more modern hardware, the rest of the map loads in while driving at normal speed, so the slow effect was removed.

Remasters is always a perfect opportunity to improve upon the original in the quality of life department, and Ty really benefits from that the most, with potential future updates for it going forward on top of it. But with how different Ty 3 is, it'll be quite interesting to see how the remaster pans out.
@GmodPlusWoW3 жыл бұрын
Good point about Ty 3 there. Having enemies that are vulnerable to certain elements would certainly make the elemental boomerangs much more useful. Especially if the enemies still have that high health pool, but take a LOT of damage from the element they're vulnerable to, so if they end up being spongy, it's because you're not using the right tool.
@conceptofartz2763 жыл бұрын
You actually had the best idea ever to fix the combat in ty 3
@GmodPlusWoW3 жыл бұрын
@@conceptofartz276 It seemed like a no-brainer to me. Thinking on your feet and using the right tools is a staple of the oldschool shooters that I'm a fan of. Use fire on Zombies and Cultists in Blood, use the Shrinker on tougher spongy enemies (and the Devastator on Octobrains) in Duke3D, use explosives to frag Zombies in Quake (and "Coolies" in Shadow Warrior, since those enemies turn into "Coolie Ghosts" if you don't gib them), etc. That kind of interplay between enemy and weapon makes your weapons like tools as well as toys, and your enemies like micro-puzzles as well as opponents. Normally when a target is spongy, you have no recourse but to keep dumping damage into them, but if they have certain weaknesses that a given weapon could exploit, not only do you save time and potentially more ammo, but you also feel smarter and more powerful for thinking on your feet.

I love how he's sneakily inserting more and more bionicle into his vids. Was never able to get the Tarakava but I did have the Boxor lol. It just makes me hyped for the inevitable Bionicle vid!

Cool! I wasn’t expecting you to review this game until the PS4 version dropped! I backed this game, I don’t regret doing so, and I’m REALLY looking forward to The Doomeranger part 2! It’s a comic they promised to make if they reached a specific stretch goal, which they did! Speaking of, how are you reviewing this game?

26:35 Depending on the game, sometimes I prefer when the final mission is essentially a "victory lap" of sorts (assuming there's been a relatively challenging section prior to it). I feel Titanfall 2 did that really well with its endgame sequences.

I love the cast of the Ty games! So many cool characters. I have a soft spot for birds, and love reptiles and frogs. Lots of those in these games. Also ironic that any of the Koalas are geniuses, considering how absolutely smooth and tiny between the ears they are in life. Also, Ty is literally the most polite of any of the gaming legends that he beat up in the ads. It still is one of the funniest aspects of hindsight for this series.

Gee Ty, how come the industry lets you have TWO remasters?

In spite of that ad that had Ty scare Sonic, Crash, and Spyro in the hospital, I feel that all three would get along with him. Also I was shocked that they got the idea to add gyro aiming after seeing your video

ty's like the nicest dude. Way more likely to bring the gang some home baked pie than he is to beat the living crap outta them lmao
@misterzygarde64313 жыл бұрын
@@NitroRad It’d be more likely for Ty beat the living crap out of Eggman, Ripto, and Dr. Cortex and I wish I had the money to commisison someone to remake a print ad with those three in place of their enemies. I feel like the modern equivalent would be Hat Kid having beaten up Yooka, Laylee, Beck, Skylar, and Plux or Izuku, Ochako, Tenya, Shouto, and Katsuki beating up the Teen Titans

That 5/5 star rating really says it all. Chrome studios has to go down in history as one of the most involved and passionate developers of their game/ series. Constantly listening to feedback, improving things. And maybe. Hopefully even remastering TY 3 to be a much better game. Really respect them a lot
