Thanks for the suggestions, I've build him two weeks ago but can't get him fast enough for my liking, but going the group hurt way might be a better option than what I have now.

With the ping on cast abilities, you want to basically build it very control heavy anyway: It probably does require at least some mulligans but I've been able to disrupt enough win attempts while waiting for more mana to come online. But if that's still too slow I am ready to use the old Parun cards to burn through an all or nothing attempt: Run Treasonous Ogre into Defiler of Dreams and pay a very substantial chunk of your life to get Visionary online early and aggressively: It can still power through turn 2/3 castings of maybe even both Visionary and Parun if you can still pay over 30 life or so.

instead of brain freeze // LED. I use a ritual and Firestorm. Firestorm can do the necessary damage to win cleanly on its own. Plus Firestorm is still good in all states of the game. The only thing is it requires niv in play. Firestorm is 1 mana discard x cards and deal x damage to x targets.

I loved the idea, so I looked up the card. Problem is you cant target the same target multiple times, so to kill a person from 30 life for example youd need 30 legal targets, or else you cant do it I believe.

I'm currently brewing a control Dragon's Approach build of this Commander, which wins by letting the Commander combo with one of the other two Nivs to ping and draw your whole deck to finish with Thassa's Oracle.

Build a high power casual version of the deck and ran it as a bit of a tribal wizard version: Key parts of it like Thassa, Parun and Firemind are already Wizard type but there's plenty of other useful combo wizards like Dualcaster Mage and Naru, useful ones like the cost-reducing dorks or Tishana's Tidebinder, engines like Baral, Azami, Archmage Emeritus plus I get to use the two Wizardcycle cards too and it's technically a tribal deck with almost all creatures of a single type. Granted the only other tribal cards are Urza's incubator (That's probably getting replaced by some other mana rock eventually) and Riptide Laboratory but it's still technically tribal right?

No you don't draw in a controlled manner. You might draw 19 cards in on go. the card you need is labratory maniac to make it work.

I got beat by this deck twice yesterday. The other 2 opponents didn't counter anything niv did but countered me when I tried to do off over niv with ad naus 😭😭😭

they should have let your naus resolve if you used naus to find interaction vs niv.
