coldsnap was actually one of my favorite sets, it had yetis, snow, and a ton of just fun cards.

I don't think Ice Age block as a whole had a theme where cards looked for other same-named cards. That was just Coldsnap and a few other scattered cards in the pre-modern era (Kindle, Flame Burst, Muscle Burst, Accumulated Knowledge being the best known, and perhaps the only ones).

Nizzahon Magic with the workshop/Sol ring/other ways of pumping artifacts out quicker I've seen it on mtgo, it worked pretty well

I was surprised by that too -- Scrying Sheets only has one GP top 8, believe it or not. Ohran Viper actually has 6 points, so it was tied with Skred -- I decided to go with Skred over the Viper since it is still seeing play right now.

Small nitpick: Sensei's Divining Top and Counterbalance were legal in the same standard format for about 3 months. There were no PTs or GPs using the standard format during this timeframe, but almost every National Championship occurred during this standard window. Famously, Katsuhiro Mori won the Japanese National Championships with a version of this deck: magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/event-coverage/decklists-top-8-decks-2006-08-26

Allosaurus Rider is probably going to end up on this list before too long. Also Counterbalance and Top were in standard together for 3 months. It didn't win any major events, but it was a terror at FNM.

I tried to break that card. Best use I got out of it was using the storage lands from Time Spiral Block in Standard, but it wasn't much. That was during the age of mana burn.

Yeah mana burn really held the card back. It does good work in commander, but that's not relevant to the scoring used here.

Nizzahon Magic I meant covering cards from specific sets lol. Most of the time you use other parameters such as instants, creature types, etc. If you have more specific set videis I would enjoy watching them.

I'm glad Sensei's Divining Top is banned just about everywhere. It's horrible card that slows down games to the point where they are unfun to play.

Empty the warrens brings twice the power. With that many creatures, evasion typically doesn't matter. One mana is semi important, though. You can squeeze another spell in, also pitchable to force.

I have no doubt it will be, I've recently made a deck completely themed around fishing Dark Depths from the graveyard, disabling all the tokens instantly with Vampire Hexmage (or just a bit more passively with Hex Parasite) and then just copying the token multiple times with copy sorceries. I can tell before even playing it that it would be insanely broken simply due to how many chances I'm able to fish it out and copy it. Give it time and I can guarantee with a few more sets, people will discover even more combos for it.

Except that Vampire Hexmage is banned, so that's one problem with playing your deck competitively. And those tokens are legendary, meaning that if you copy them, you have to immediately destroy one due to legendary rule.
