Alright, guys, for the time being, I promise that this is the last compilation video from my day alongside the Atlantic City Line. Maybe at some point, I might return to do some more filming down there, but most likely in the summer since the nighttime shots are not the best. If service was more frequent, then it would be a different story.
For the same reason as I noted when traveling to Hammonton and Berlin stations, I stopped at Egg Harbor City station primarily due to the decent amount of at-grade crossings, essential to capture some K5LA action. Furthermore, I do enjoy the appearance of the greenery surrounding the station, especially at this time of the day since the sunlight was not very intense. There's not too much in this area with the exception of Wawa and a few restaurants on the other side, but that is about it.
The one recurring theme throughout the entire day, not just the course of filming this particular video, was the idle of the Geeps at full blast, which is attributed to the fact that the temperature was over 90 degrees and it was humid as hell. As a result, the AC inside the railcars needed to run at full force. On another note, this was also one of the final times I have seen #4218 with the small font number boards as they were replaced in September; however, the ones on the long hood are still the same.
The one mistake I made was not filming Train #4678 by the South Philadelphia Avenue crossing, especially knowing that GP40PH-2B #4203 has a nice 90s K5LA at the point. I must have forgotten that #4203 was the next train and considering that Train #4677 was 10 minutes late to Hammonton station, I didn't give me much time to get to Egg Harbor City and my first instinct is to film the first train on the platform.
With that being said, I have said plenty, so I will leave it at that. If you guys enjoyed the video, feel free to drop a like, comment, subscribe, share the video with everyone you know, and I will see you all on the next one! :D
