“That’s like Getting into a taxi and telling them where you don’t wanna go, well you’re not going to go anywhere”
@bleeone2 жыл бұрын
The three most powerful words of NLP transformation in my experience: ‘What stops you’? The answer has nothing to do with the verbal reply, and sensory acuity can help to unpack the specific memory to which the limiting belief which is no longer of use has been attached.

Love the taxi analogy, one of the best I've heard to date.
@DamonCart4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Actually I can't take credit for the analogy. I believe I heard it when I was taking a course with Robert Dilts. I don't know if he created it or not, but I heard it from him.

Thanks for sharing, Damon. What are your top 2-3 reads on NLP?
@DamonCart3 жыл бұрын
In general I recommend anything written by Steve and Connirae Andreas (books they wrote together or separately). They wrote the first readable books on NLP. Transforming Your Self by Steve Andreas changed my life and became the basis for the majority of the NLP work I do now. He was my mentor until he passed a few years ago.

Question : how to feel motivated and fulfill target or goal. as everytime we don't have dopamine high?
@DamonCart4 жыл бұрын
If you're dependent on a dopamine high, that's the problem. That high doesn't last. Your values do last though. Connect with those.

Questions: Any NLP techniques can help improve sleeping quality? My problem is when I go to bed, my brain keep flashing what happened during the day (and my thought for certain). It takes around an hour for my brain to recall all the stuff and finally stop so that I can sleep. It's really really torture for this whole process :(
@DamonCart4 жыл бұрын
I can't think of one specific NLP technique that is good for this but you can try out a few until something does work. You may try meditating before going to bed. That should help.

Hey HI! :) First off, thanks for your time. Important question only someone like you can answer. Could there be a werid NLP/Embedded Command/Anchor Technique behind this toilet paper frenzy? The day it started i noticed a weird pull towards buying toilet paper... lol but i noticed it was kinda weird so i literally shook my head and went on about my day! Just to find out later about the frenzy... I was like NO WAY! Nobody understands what i am talking about... I would really love your opinion on this! AND WAIT! are you in Heidelberg? I lived there for 2 years!
@DamonCart4 жыл бұрын
I was in Stockholm, Sweden. I don't think there's any sort of NLP technique involved in the toilet paper frenzy. I think it probably has to do with something more primitive. It probably also has to do with our social nature. "If everyone else is getting toilet paper then they probably know something I don't so I need to get toilet paper as well."

When the Pandemic was announced, if you went to KZbin and put in "supplies needed" the FIRST video to come up was a Prepper/Survivalist who showed 15 "must have" items and the first was TOILET PAPER as he said "there is no substitute for this." He had 1.5 MILLION views in the first 3 days and thus, people went out to buy TP and others saw them.

Hi I’m a person with a traumatic Brain injury. I’m trying to help with memory retention. I find I can retain a lot of new information within a few days, but it slips gradually away over a while say 7-10 maybe less. Then I remember context but not details of subjects. My brain injury happened in 2006 dates, names, details all slip unless I created anchor with visual and emotional stays in the memory but not always works. As you can imagine a brain injury brings on cognitive and, emotional effects with me it manifests as frustration to anxiety at my own inabilities inwards. Any ideas that could steer me in the right direction.

Unfortunately I don't have any expertise in this area. My advice would be to just keep testing out new ways until you find something that works.

That's a good question. You have to change the structure of your beliefs about yourself. That's the entirety of what I teach in my program which is 18 months long so it's not something I can answer in a comment here.
