I read in a blog that said “attempts to avoid anxiety are actually the fuel at the heart of most anxiety disorders” and I honestly never thought about it that way before. Accept and embrace the fact that you’re feeling anxious instead of trying to fight/avoid it. Now, whenever I’m feeling anxious, I look at is as an opportunity to build my tolerance to it by pretty much accepting it and then ignoring it by staying engaged with whatever task that I was concentrating on. Let it come and go. Do not contract around anxiety but remain open to it and let it extinguish itself - Tara Brach

I can't agree with that since I have avoided the highway since I was 21 due to severe panic attacks and I still do at age 61. The panic attack is so overwhelming that you can't think it through. I have to pull over when driving and feel like my body just ran a marathon. It's horrible for anyone who has anxiety to that extreme, trust me.

I remember I was once searching through all these videos, researching how to get better. If you are wondering does it heal fully? No it wont but will it get much better? Yes! You have to fight it, take control of it, your body will become familiar with the way you control it. When your brain relalizes that it's okay, it won't come back anymore unless you let it. Aniexty will not kill you, don't be afraid and fight it. Been struggling with aniexty since 2012 and I barely have aniexty anymore. I've had people talk down about me, degrade me because of my aniexty but I kept strong. Sit on a comfortable chair, hands on your laps, close your eyes, be still and focus on the breath entering and leaving your nostrils for 10 minutes early morning and evening. Yes, I kept doing this ignoring the anxiety, enduring it and carrying on for the sake of others, I lost multiple jobs this way and every time took months to recover, dust myself off and continue to repeat the pattern with fingers crossed it won't happen again. At some point you have to realise insanity is repeating the same action expecting a different result. While it's noble and admirable to have fortitude it can also be a miserable, draining existence. Something needs to change, learning to say no is extremely freeing, demand the time you need to get help and address it. If one technique doesn't work keep trying others, it won't magically go away by ignoring it, save yourself years of fighting through it and finding out the hard way like I did

*If you are stressed out, anxious, feel busy but getting nothing done, you need 3 things:* 1) Meditate daily (20 minutes first thing in the morning- yes you do have time- you make time) 2) Take action with a timer- start a timer to get your work done by- this way you work faster and stay focused and get more done in less time- because you are not day dreaming and losing focus as much inbetween 3) Start Gratitude journalling and Achievement journalling Gratitude journalling is writing down 10 things you are grateful for (honestly not with sarcasm) Achievement Journalling is a powerful way to rewire your brain for more confidence and motivation: you write 10 things you are proud of yourself for, things you did well, habits you stuck to, the small wins, the big wins. Doing this makes you less stressed because you make a habit of consciously reminding yourself of all the good things you did get done and gives your mind evidence that you are going in the direction of your goals rather than feeling like you are so busy yet getting nothing done!

Anxiety and ocd lives in people who don't like uncertainty or doubt. The best thing for anxiety & panic is to just let it be. Do the opposite of don't just sit there do something, instead sit there and do nothing! Anxiety wants you to be scared and PUSH it away. Better yet try a paradoxical approach and tell anxiety to please make me more anxious. After awhile your amygdala will no longer respond to a false alarm. The anxious content in your head is irrelevant, it's our relationship to the content that gets us. The more you resist the more it persist so tell tell anxiety to fuck off and bring it on!!
@sonofhibbs44256 жыл бұрын
Lol..yes, that actually works. Well, it does with intrusive thoughts. (I haven’t tried it with anxiety, but with some I’m sure it would work). Most people when they have intrusive thoughts don’t want to think those thoughts and that’s what creates the anxiety with it. But when you pull them in, think on that which you are fearful of , it has no control over you anymore. It’s kind of funny once you get the hang of it- like you’re beating up the bullies instead of them beating you up!

telling yourself that & having that mentality restricts your mind from associating peace with anywhere else besides your bed. try to expand your thought about your bed being the only thing that can calm it down, take baby steps & possibly find comfort in bathrooms if you ever have anxiety outside. it’s okay to go to the bathroom maybe splash some water on your face & get yourself together when you feel tense. anxiety is something new to me nd SUCKS.. but i’ve learned that it’s all in our heads. we’re all 100% in control of our bodies nd our anxiety :) good luck all ik it’s not easy

been having some sort of anxiety due crazy stress recently where my heart would pound hard..get headches n feel lighted i researched and i tried the following . first tell ur self urself u r ok and ur just stressed out. 2.cut all ur sugars and if u r eating 3 times a day and u are not doing anything physical cut ur meals to one heavy one ..remove the excess enerygy it will go to your brain.3 i loved drinking tean n started coffee ..i quit them all. 4.u have to sweat and do some exercise every day dont over do it remember u r eating once but atleast do it till you sweat. 5. walk out everyday and let the sun hit you atleast for 30 mins but 1hr is preferable ...just walk around go buy groceries like two neighbourhoods away. 6.do mind over body exercises...the only i know is taking a colder shower...it pushes out of comfort zone and help ur body deal with stress in a controlled way. 7.face your problems,whatever is causing ur worries ....if it a new fate that is worrying plz accept and improve from there .. take it like newchapter in life. 8.stay away from stressful n negative ppl n evnviroment...and spend an hour doing something u like 9.make a plan to better ur self and ur future. 10. improve ur spiritual health for me was n still trying to come to closer to god , and make a point to help someone in need no matter how small u will feel better for it. let me know if these steps helped u.

My mother suffered from this in my childhood and I didn't know how bad it was till now. I am 33 and my heart breaks just thinking of everything my mother did for us while not medicated and depending on cigs to get by. Her crying were eye allergies and her odd sleeping pattern was due to her OCD cleaning, those were her excuses when we'd as. She is way better now, but it's my turn and my phrase is 'You won't control me.' I've changed my diet, I am doing more active work...this will not control me. Period.

TIP, it's also helpful to confront the attack in your head, don't try to stop it from happening but taunt it to "bring it on!", "give me your best shot!" even curse at it in your head if you want, the reason is you take control by not taking control, panic attacks are fed by the fear of having a panic attack, it's a cycle, cut off the food source and it dies off. This gives your mind an outlet for the energy, our response to perceived danger is freeze, fight, or flight, taunting it in our head is a fight response and ends the fear of having the panic attack. But what if you still have some fear of having one? Well the reason to not fear a panic attack is 1. nobody has ever died from a panic attack, literally the worst possible thing that could happen is you faint (which would actually be great because you wont have to experience the panic!) but even that is super rare, and the second thing to know is panic attacks have a time limit, yes, a time limit of 15-30 minutes, 30 minutes is like the brick wall of panic attacks, your body can only release adrenaline to be in that state for that long, so just know that no matter what, it stops at that point. I had a panic attack today at work, I just sat eating my lunch and let it happen (I've had them before and I'm not scared of them now, even though I dread them), it's very uncomfortable but it's not dangerous, I just sat and felt the light headedness, tingling, tightness in my chest etc and it was no problem, after 15 minutes I got up and slowing started working again knowing it was close to ending and it did, right at the 25 minute mark it was 100% gone. Just know, overcoming panic attacks is a skill you learn and get good at, I used to get them about twice a week but now maybe once a year (yesterday was my first in almost 2 years), and now when I have one it means I need to de-stress my life and worry less, panic attacks are my check engine light for when my lifestyle needs servicing :D Anyway, love you all, and have hope! Because it gets better as you gain knowledge and skills about it, and the awesome thing is, once you recover or get those skills you can help other people fix it too!!!
@affluentmindmatrix5 жыл бұрын
you are ABSOLUTELY right! i used to get a couple a day! when i learned of that technique of "bring it on, give me your best shot. take me down" fight, it would IMMEDIATELY dissappear! i still get them when i'm stressed, but i've learned not to RUN AWAY from it, because it only get's worse. and now that i think of it, i don't think i've ever had one that lasted more than 30 minutes either! the "5 4 3 2 1" and anchor thought really does help too! it's ALL in our minds, and we literally have to change it. it most likely won't be overnight, but if we start to implement this, they should subside very quickly! the trick is: we can't avoid them. the more we run from something, the more power we give it.

This is excellent advice and something i did a few years ago. Dont just think "oh i just need to get through this", take the fight to the pointless anxiety. The turning point for me was when i realised i was in control, and in my head i would curse at the panic attacks. I would get get them in areas where if i had them i feared people would judge me, thus triggering a panic attack. The worst were on planes. I then did breathing exercises of breathing in for 4 or 5 seconds, and out for 7, whilst counting. Then i would have an aggressive conversation in my head with this anxiety and sayin "i will not only get through this flight, but i will fully ENJOY it". For some people this will just seem like inane advice, and be so far from something you can do now, because your so wrapped in the crappy symtoms, but you will get there. Just another tip is, everytime youbhave even the smallest victory, keep reminding yourself off it. If you dont go into crowds, go into a small crowd. Take the small victory, then next time always remember that you are able to do a small crowd, do it a few more times, then go into big crowds, then take that as a lesson. There will always be blips, but who cares, go back and start again. Good luck!

Just remember, it has no control over you, it can’t beat you, you need to fight it.. and most importantly.. it’ll pass. Keep telling yourself “It’ll pass..” because it will! I heavily breathe and get tight chests all the time, I actually have a tight chest now! It’s absolutely horrid and can be frightening, but it won’t hurt you. As stupid as it might sound, best thing is to try to worsen the situation on purpose. Fully accept the worst case scenario. If you allow your brain to see that actually nothing is going to happen, eventually your brain will learn not to be afraid of that situation. Panic attacks are basically an adrenaline rush. The amigdala in the brain gets triggered for not apparent reason and shoots adrenaline to your system. Although it feels like your dying, what's really going on is your body is trying to protect you. I suffered from severe panic attacks. I'd easily get my heart checked 3-4 times a months. I was on medication and nothing seemed to work, until I started to go to conductal cognitive therapy. It seriously changed my life. So did Dr. Harry Barry. I strongly recommend you Google him if your suffering from panic attacks. He's probably one of the biggest experts in the matter. And whatever you do, remember: panic attacks are uncomfortable but NEVER dangerous. You can do this!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I felt her so well when she said "even if its 2 o'clock in the morning". like yea I completely agree you have to get out of bed and your brain thinks youre getting away from the danger. but if you've had this happening night after night its hard to do that. youre tired. exhausted. your body needs sleep. its hard to start your day at 2am. Especially if lack of sleep eventuates the anxiety. Or if it happens every night. How are you supposed to start your day every day at 2am? I recommend if you know this happens to you, set times during the day when you can to take cat naps, maybe go to bed early if you can to make up for the sleep you might lose later. and I love you if youre reading this. if people can feel hate without meeting anyone than I can do that with love:) xo. Great explanation. I have had many anxiety attacks in the past and my daughter was diagnosed with two types of anxiety disorders shortly after starting school. I taught her to identify what was happening, think about a happy place, walk into another room and distract yourself till you are completely calm. Teaching copeing techniques early on helps because once they hit puberty things get real rough. This video is great advice for anyone stuck in an anxiety loop.

This might sound odd but why dont you let yourself fall on purpose? Like practice falling in front of your house or something. Your anxiety about falling might dissipate if you actually experience the worse case scenario.. which is falling. Naturally we all can’t experience our fears i.e dog bites and car jackings lol. I used to fear disease and I allowed myself to think of actually getting sick and what would happen. Realized that I’d just have to go through the tests, poking and prodding and meds and either I’ll get better or die. Point is.. we can get through most anything.

instant_mint Look up Dr Claire Weekes. Everyone in this thread is handling their anxiety wrong. You NEVER run from your anxiety. Do NOT get up and try and walk around to avoid the nausea. If you have this fear of nausea, ACCEPT it. Let it be there, if you throw up so what? You can never die. Once you no longer run from this nausea your brain will give you less and less anxiety over it because you’ve shown your not afraid of it, then the nausea will permanently disappear. I struggled with nausea until I forced myself to face it and never try to remove it, then it removed itself over time. Running from something only shows the brain it’s something to be feared, so the anxiety will never go away

This video came to me because I subbed to Mel a few months ago. She is AWESOME! Now I actually feel like I can contribute to the discussion. I used to have panic attacks. I'd say I've had at least 30 in the past 2 years. This summer I started noticing a connection between my water intake and my attacks. Many of my attacks came a day or two after drinking alcohol, or not drinking enough water. I'm not saying that it was the cause, but when MY body starts to get dehydrated, I often have attacks. I started keeping track of my water intake using reusable water bottles and almost completely eliminated other types of drinks from my life. My goal is 100 oz. per day and I haven't had a panic attack in months. I'm no doctor, but please if you're reading this and suffer from panic attacks or anxiety, think about it. Your body might just be in a perpetual state of dehydration. If you look at the symptoms of both, they match almost perfectly. If you are going to try to drink more water, it will take you a few days before you see any change. Please come back to this post and reply if it works for you. Good luck!

El Jay -yes!! It seems like nothing works - I totally agree with you!
@silvilev90717 жыл бұрын
El Jay that's not true, because some people suffer from dehydration wich is one of the causes for panic attacks. You can not have good circulation if you are not hydrated. There are many factors causing panic attacks.Dehydration is one of them, not breathing properly and living in constant stress are two important factors too. You just can not breath properly (oxygenation) if you are stressed. You need to force good breathing with some breathing technique if you suffer from stress. Your heart needs water, oxygen and peace of mind in order to work perfectly. If you have panic attacks your heart is not having good conditions to work. You must see it has all it needs. Take care ❤
@silvilev90717 жыл бұрын
El Jay Panic attacks have many trigger factors. You seem to be controlling many of them already. That's good for you! Congrats! That speaks volumes about you! But you have to admit that people and their life's experiences, their habits, their health conditions are very different. You have to take into consideration that healthy diet, hydration, good breathing (oxygenation), peace of mind, a less stressful life are not only "bandage tips", but steps to control anxiety and panic attacks actually. In your case it seems that the only remaining panic attack trigger you have to control better is: overwhelming fear. And it is a big deal because it has a lot to do with breathing! It's the most important factor by far! When you are experiencing fear you can not breathe properly (just observe your anormal breathing when you are in fear) and it doesn't matter if you are a good athlete who can breath better than the average person. You just won't breath properly if you are in fear. Period. Breathing wrong means lack of oxygen.Period. Lack of oxygen means that your heart has to work harder and beat faster, so you will have tachycardia and probably a panick attack. Period. Now, in your particular case the panic attack will go away once you control your thinking patterns and start to relax because you will breathe better then, and restore your oxygen balance, your heart will beat slowly because now has good oxygen levels to work just fine. Period. In other cases the panic attack will go away when the person start to rehydrate. You will see different situations everywhere, but the steps to control anxiety and panic attacks remain the same.
@silvilev90717 жыл бұрын
El Jay Like I said before, If you have negative thoughts and an overwhelming fear you won't breath properly (lack of oxygen), then you'll have tachycardia and a panic attack. This is the most important cause of panic attacks. But people who are stressed, people who smoke, drink coffee, eat junk food, people who doesn't sleep well, who doesn't drink enough water do suffer from panic attacks too! Please don't say they never do. It's very difficult to think positively if you are dehydrated, if you have too much acid on your body or if you suffer from hypertension caused by your bad eating habits. You are just going to feel worse as time passes. If we are going to fight and defeat panic attacks, we need a holistic approach. In your case, all the changes you did, helped.

I agree with most of this. The only thing i disagreed with is telling her to get out of the bed. A big thing with anxiety is its a false alarm if i get out of bed instead of confronting the false alarm the anxiety loop could persist and get worse. You wanna look anxiety in the face and tell it its a lie , its not real, there is no threat and this can be accomplished while sitting in the bed. Not getting out of bed and putting a security blanket over the anxious thought or sensation with a happy thought..i personally dont agree with that particular tactic.

I have been plagued with the most horrendous anxiety and panic attacks EVER!!! It got to a point where I was very suicidal, I simply could not live with having at least 20 or 30 extreme panic attacks every single day of my life, and even with medication and therapy, it was still happening, I didn’t have panic attacks I would have panic weeks. My BP was shooting up to an average of 210/110, and my pulse was at least 140 bpm, on any given day of the week. My story is much different than most, as I have many many medical issues, having had over 33 life-saving operations since I was 20 (I’m now 49), then facing intestinal cancer three times already, I’ve also had three grand mal seizures, with absolutely no explanation whatsoever, not even the top neurologist can figure it out, so I had to figure something out myself before I lost my mind. Because I have less than 5% of my intestine left, I’m not able to drink, and in this case I think that’s a good thing because I would most certainly have become an alcoholic! I have read volumes on this subject, and found no help so I tried a little research on myself, as I have two masters degrees, one in medical Laboratory sciences, and the other in medical radiation sciences, so I do have a scientific and medical background. I sat down, And listed all of my fears, all of my triggers, and every possible explanation as to why I was having these attacks, along with the depression so deep and so dark that suicide was the only thing on my mind for months at a time. There’s no words I can use to describe the deep dark black hole that I was in, and the absolute hopelessness and extreme sorrow I suffered through, but I knew I had to do something before I ended up killing myself, which I nearly did four times, thankfully all four times I was caught by my family before I was able to go through with it. For those of you who’ve never experienced chronic anxiety and/or depression, it is the worst possible illness I could ever imagine! I was born with several illnesses, as they recently found out, my biological mother was very heavy smoker/drinker/drug addict, throughout her entire pregnancy with me, basically I was the 60s equivalent of a crack baby, I don’t know why she decided to tell me that, because I was adopted at nine months old by a wonderful family give me an incredible life, and I had just recently met my biological mother, it made me appreciate my parents so much more, but I am so pissed off to find out that her actions are probably one of the reasons why I’m so sick. I started off with Crohn’s disease, and over the years, develops 11 chronic illnesses, all associated with my Crohn’s disease, or associated with the treatment for the Crohn’s disease, so I had to come up with a solution to help my anxiety and depression that was specifically geared towards myself. When I first heard of getting the anxiety attacks, just like the women in this video, I would absolutely freak out, terrified for no reason, I’m being terrified because I didn’t know why I was terrified. It’s a vicious circle from which there is no escape, or at least that’s what I thought, until I tried various methods of trying to calm my mind during these attacks. Once I researched it, and discovered some of the causes behind it, I found it for me, I literally just kept saying out loud, “there is no danger, there is nothing to worry about, and there is nothing wrong with you”. I would literally say it’s 20 or 30 times in a row, but will do so with my eyes closed, if possible in a dark room, listening to my favourite classical music, which I’ve loved since a child. Anxiety disorder is a very broad spectrum disorder, affecting hundreds of millions of people and so many different ways, each, with various different therapies. After months and months of reading and trying different therapies, this was the one thing that actually helped, without having to down in entire bottle of medications, something which I do not want to do as I already take over 12 prescription medications every single day just to stay alive, most of which are to treat my Crohn’s disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, degenerative disc disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, short bowel syndrome, High blood pressure, PTSD, depression, plus many others, some of which are a little embarrassing, suffice it to say, it’s taken a huge toll on my sex life as a man. So to the entire world, I begged you all, please never assume somebody is just making it up for attention, suffering from chronic anxiety is literally a fate worse than death, no words can describe just how horrible it feels, there’s so many times I just wanted to jump off the bridge next to my house just to escape feeling so horrible!! And to all those who suffer from anxiety and have not yet found your cure, I promise you it is possible, but I’d like to say that, I found, at least within my own research, the treatment is extremely variable from patient to patient, so please don’t panic if what your doctor gives you does not work, keep trying, because I sure you, there is help out there, and just try to remember with every attack, that although your mind is telling your body to go into the flight or flight mode, that there is literally absolutely nothing wrong with you, but it’s all easily over, with proper meditation techniques/medications/therapies… … It took me quite a while to figure out how to stop it, and while I still have the occasional attack, overall I’ve managed to conquer it. If I wasn’t able to do so, I know with 100% certainty, that I would’ve killed myself along time ago, because the stress, as soon as you know, it’s beyond belief, and I would never wish it on my worst enemy, it’s literally worse than cancer, and I can see that from personal experience, having had three separate bouts of intestinal cancer. Just one more note, I’m not telling you not to listen to your doctors, because they’re there to help you, but I will say that if you don’t like what they’re saying, I don’t quite believe in what they’re still telling you, you’re probably right.Case and point, at 21 my large intestine completely ruptured, I was dead, flat line for two minutes on the OR table, and that’s when they found two cancers tumours growing on the outside of my large intestine, that we didn’t even know were there, because the symptoms of the Crohn’s disease were masking any symptoms of the cancer.Had my intestine not ruptured, the cancer would have spread so quickly I would have been dead in less than six months, and by the time I discovered it was cancer it would’ve been too late, so while doctors knew a lot, they don’t know everything, they based much of what they say on their experiences and what they’ve been taught, but then again, they’ve never encountered someone like me before. That first fight with cancer, when I was 21, left the doctors telling me I had about a 10% chance of survival, The second time, I was 29, and was given 30% chance of survival, and finally the third time, which was just two years ago at the age of 47, I was given a 20% chance of survival, yet I am cancer free and still alive! Believe me, I am not bragging, because there’s nothing to brag about, I’m just very very lucky, as I found out most patients die who were in my situation, the fact that I survived cancer and the suicidal thoughts, is prove to me that the higher power, what I like to call Jesus Christ, you can call it or him whatever you’d like, I’m not trying to push my faith on anyone, but we all need something or someone to look up to for help and for guidance, Jesus did that for me, and then some! Anyways, as always I’ve talked way too long, have faith everyone, please, I know it’s extremely hard to see light at the end of this horrible tunnel, but I promise you, if I can do it anybody can,I wish you all nothing but the very best, I wish you all a very happy, healthy, and long life, and since it’s December, I’d also love to wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a very happy, healthy, and prosperous new year, cheers!

I've suffered from anxiety since I was little. As I've gotten older, the anxiety has steadily gotten worse. It got to the point where my fear held me in chains to my house because I was so afraid to have a panic attack in public. With my anxiety comes derealization, which is fucking terrifying. But, it came to a point where I got up, got moving, and if the anxiety hits I work through it. Its either work past it, or let it run you over and leave you in a state of depression so heavy, chances are you'll be there awhile... :) When I'm feeling anxious, I remove myself from the situation. Bathroom, etc. Its easier said then done..but, I did it. Everyday is a battle, but I'd rather go down fighting.. Good luck to everyone!!

If I can add something here for you it may help. You’re doing great regarding just “do it anyway.” Don’t be afraid of panic in front of others. No one is going to notice or really care anyway. When you feel like removing yourself from the situation, please DON’T. You are training your brain to think you’re really in danger when you aren’t. It’s almost like exposure therapy. You need to keep yourself in those situations no matter how strong the emotions are, and realize they’re just “feelings” and they can’t hurt you. The more you accept those feelings as just harmless feelings, the closer you are to breaking the cycle. Always be in the present, and don’t follow your negative thoughts. Your thoughts and feelings mean nothing. They never will. The cycle won’t be broken until you are no longer afraid of the fear itself. It’s really that simple. Hope this helps.

It's so true!! I have had panic attacks since I was very, very young. I use to suffer from night terrors and those dreams use to make me have panic attacks every night for a while. Until one of those night I decided to distract myself to see if the panic attack went away and thank god it did. It's been some years since I had a panic attack! You have to force your mind to focus on something else, because if you don't the panic attack will control you and every decision you take.

I've had lots of anxiety attacks this year's and I know why she's crying... It's so horrible to feel this bad for no reason whatsoever and to feel like you have 0 control over it and there's nothing you can do to stop it. It makes all of your hope of being happy and calm goes away. But there's always a way out. Always. We can live through and past this. This method that she tought her is a really good one. Is super important to know what's happening to your body prior to the attacks so, when they come, you know what it is. And so, by knowing what's happening to us, we can learn and create ways to cope and deal with it. I'm in a stage of my life where I can feel the anxiety attacks building up and, most of the times, I'm able to stop them before they begin. I'm less afraid of them happening because now I know ways to avoid or get out of them. I just want everyone that goes through this to know that you are NOT alone and you CAN get through this. You are deserving of help, care and love and you're not a failure. You're a fighter and you're gonna win this battle! Be safe and treat yourself with love.

Of course it's amazing having tools to cope with a panic attack, like presented here, but don't forget to get a good grasp of your physical health situation! My husband suffers from anxiety and overwhelm very often. I have always struggled with understanding where he is coming from or why things make him so anxious or worried because I have never struggled with that. This was so insightful because it helped me to understand how to help him better. By the way, Mel's method of taking action to get out of that anxious moment is SPOT ON. That is exactly how someone who handles difficult situations without becoming anxious or fearful responds. We know, subconsciously, that worry or anxiety does no good and to get out of that moment quickly is best. Taking action is the best answer. I had never recognized that was exactly how I have usually responded to situations before. Now, I can help others break that habit of worry and fearfulness. Thanks so much Mel!

That is the anticipatory fear of getting another panic attack and as long as you fear you're going to get another one, you are guaranteed to get one. You have to break that cycle of fear and you can cure your panic/anxiety attacks for good. Please look for a book called DARE, by Barry McDonagh at amazon.com. This man's natural technique, when mastered, will end your fear of panic attacks for good, guaranteed. If I could be cured, anyone could. Please try it, you have nothing to lose except your fear of having another panic attack permanently.

To be happy and get rid of anxiety do the free Vipaasna meditation practiced all around the world. Meditation reprogrames the mind. It is very simple. Sit on a comfortable chair, hands on your laps, close your eyes, be still and focus on the breath entering and leaving your nostrils for 10 minutes early morning and evening. Slowly increase the practice to 20 minutes. Plenty of thoughts will come but they will reduce after doing the above meditation daily. Don't give up. Your mind will stop reacting to thoughts in a few days.. Watch "Vipaasna meditation videos" on Google search.

My experience. when your alone and start drowning in your thoughts it gets suffocating, claustrophobic it affects you getting close to ppl especially relationships not because of lack of sexual confidence but your all alone with it all. my own anxiety treatment below as you can hear the world talk to you but still there is no one that can help you. major helps : open the window at night and open the curtains so you can see the night sky sleep naked for men in your boxers and for woman in their preferable nightware lie down in your bed star fish fingers spread and breathe 10 times deeply in and very very slowly out with the breeze of the wind on your body If that don't work do a repeat with even slower breathes and speak positively to your self or you can speak to your own anxiety with the right profanity treatment till your anger conquers it and you feel brave again. hope this helps someone.
