I put myself through 2 year trade school and graduated in the top of my class and didn’t have the confidence to go work in that field. Now I’ve just graduated to be an NLP hypnotist and don’t have the confidence to start my business. I’m new to your videos and really learn from your information. Thank you.

My biggest challenge with self-esteem and confidence is all of the negative self-talk that I did for years! I've stopped the negative talk but the beliefs are deep-rooted.

I find that I am wanting to feel confident enough to coach clients who are just ordinary citizens because in The Coaching Institute we get to practice on our fellow coaching students and sometimes they want coaching on some pressing problems. Never have I done any transformations or anything spectacular which is stopping me marketing myself. I am not great at talking to people and therefore I not good at Networking. I hope I can get help from NLP training.

Great video!!! So first you learn about the core values about one person and what they want. and then you use self concept model? Do you have any videos of counter examples and more details?

For me I feel I have confidence to do most stuff but at the same time I have low self esteem. I don't mind the discomfort or nerves if I'm doing something, I can handle the nerves and it's even exciting. But when I'm not doing stuff, I don't know why but I don't have value in myself, so I put others needs before mine and end up getting used. So how can I make myself value myself...as I am, not because I can do stuff? I mean if your values are 'x' and 'y', how to make 'z' also one of your values...especially if affirmations like 'I value z' isn't going to work? Thank you.

I mention this in the video. If an activity or behavior you engage in aligns with your values, your self-esteem and confidence goes up when you engage in that behavior. But for some people, when they stop doing the behavior, confidence and self-esteem might drop. This is why we want to install our values as solid qualities of our identity. I do this through using Steve Andreas' Self-Concept Model. When you believe you are all of your highest values as solid and certain qualities of your identity, look out! That's when you become unstoppable and deeply fulfilled.

I really need to work on the books I have written and I feel like it’s my self esteem or lack of it that is causing me to not progress in doing all that I need to do. What can I do to just get them done and plan my book launch etc at some point as I have many bookSSSS I just need to sort this out.

Elicit your values around writing books. Learn parts integration to overcome resistance to completing them and create a vision from your values. I've made videos about how to do all of these things.

We don't "lack" anything. Even the wording "lack of self-esteem" is already working against you. We have it all, including a healthy self-esteem. It just needs to come out. What we have is spare feelings and behaviours that we have to let go of. The underlying emotion of "lacking self-confidence" might be fear. So, let go of that fear and after, bring out and enhance that self-confidence or self-esteem. Enjoy your journey through Self.

Not everyone has self-esteem. In fact most people do not have healthy self-esteem. Can everyone access self-esteem? Absolutely, but it is not as simple as saying "just let it out". Most of the information that you carry about who you are is unconscious and it was organized rather haphazardly. In order to transform instantly, you have to make this unconscious structure conscious and arrange the information of your experiences so that they communicate certainty to you about being the you you value. Simply saying "let this go" or "let that go" sounds nice but it won't work with most people. I know this firsthand. It wasn't until my mentor taught me how the whole process of how self-esteem works that I was finally able to have stable and steady self-esteem and it's also how I went from contending with feelings of low self-worth for most of my life to the concept of self-worth no longer making any sense to me at all anymore.

My problem is im 32 and i look and sound like im still a teenager so it makes me feel less dominate and it takes away my confidence
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 3 жыл бұрын
Those things may be true, but what does that tell you? Where is your focus? Your focus is on what holds you back rather than what works for you so of course you will create that persona with others. You're also comparing it to being dominate, which is not something that's going to help you. Dominating others is rooted in comparing yourself to others, which is always a bad idea. You will lose that game. If you look young, that's not a bad thing. Use it to your advantage. If you sound young, work on your voice. I do voice exercises. Put your attention on what you want and you'll create it. You'll be surprised how when you change the perception of yourself, other peoples' perception of you will change.
