So cool. For me (going through moving on from mistakes myself) the really pivotal part of the demonstration was discovering the Highest Positive Intention and the blocked resources. I've been on an intense inner journey for the past 2 months and this demonstration has given me the tools to potentially unstuck myself on beating myself up over a repeating mistake I have been making. Love the no content approach too. Thanks Damon.

While watching this video, I was actively experiencing or engaging a strong counterexample (ie. counter to my identified quality and associated values.). It was not intended or premeditated. Yet, I fully participated in the process despite being out of congruency, Some interesting insights were revealed! .The process assisted a powerful reframe. I love that a strong Q.actually benefits from the inclusion and integration of counter-examples. I look forward to noting the outcome of this session. I've already discovered from group coaching sessions that this work assists subtle, sometimes imperceptible shifts which support a gradual change process. Thanks Damon & Lauren!

First envious of your current travel, glad you are making use of the opportunity!!! I did a Damon Demo Binge weekend!! I love the simple, direct yet very insightful ways you present the material. Can you tell me what do you do if you have a client that visualizes all examples and counter examples as being around them (in their head) or possibly in full frontal view if pushed for another answer. Yes, they see this way whether dissociated or associated? They do not see two different specific locations in their personal space. And along the same lines, have your students already been given a homework assignment to come up with examples of their Q and counter Q prior to the session. I am terrible at coming up with examples as quickly as they appear to do in the video and as many especially on the spot. Again, thanks for the great content on your channel. I have sent the links to several friends who also are enjoying your work.
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words. As far examples and counterexamples being around someone, that's how they typically are. How is that a problem? When a person says the example are in their head, this is typically a misunderstanding on their part. They think because it's happening in their mind that it must be happening in their head, but if they pay attention to the direction in which they're seeing an image or hearing a sound, it typically is experienced as if it's in their personal space. For example, when someone is seeing an image I'll say point to where you see that image. That usually does it and they get it. Sometimes they will insist it's in their head so I will ask them how do they see it if it's behind their eyes. Then they will often realize images appear out in front of them. It doesn't matter if they're associated or disassociated. Sometimes when you're associated you experience being inside the memory (panoramic) and sometimes you can experience it like a limited visual in front of you, 1st person perspective. No, I don't give them homework ahead of time. You're not terrible at coming up with examples. How could you be certain about anything if this is true? If you can say you are certain about being a quality, just ask yourself "How do you know?" You have memories of course. You're always referencing memories. It's just usually unconscious. Practice making the unconscious conscious.

Hi Damon this is great! I just read you said that the optimal percentage of counterexamples tends to be 10% to 15% of the database. So in this case, by counterexamples do you mean untrasformed counterexamples, or do the transformed ones also count towards the 10 to 15 percentage of counterexamples? ( by transformed I mean that we edited the situation into an example and attach them together; not talking about the submodality changes)
@DamonCart
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
Good question. I would say no more than 15% untransformed counterexamples. If you have transformed counterexamples with the counterexample attached to the transformed version, you can probably have up to 30% to even 50% because the transformed version is bigger, brighter, and more compelling. Ultimately though you will need to test it. If it starts to feel like the quality is weakening, pull some of them out until it feels stronger again.
@ryanmiller8571
@ryanmiller8571 Жыл бұрын
@@DamonCart Perfect. Only one doubt. When you say to pull some counterexamples out, do you mean to try to make them fit into another database, or you mean that just pulling them out of the database tends to work as well?
@DamonCart
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
@@ryanmiller8571 when you examine you counter examples you might find that instead of counter examples, they're actually examples of another quality that you value. Sometimes your unconscious is sloppy in how it categorizes. Move those to the proper database. But if they're actual counterexamples to the quality you're working on and your positive template feels overwhelmed with counterexamples, just pull them out. You can transform them if you want and then put them back in or you can just leave them out.

@DamonCart
@DamonCart 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words. When it comes to resistance, don't resist resistance. All resistance has a positive intent. Elicit that positive intent and you'll find another value or set of values that easily integrates into the values of your original objective. Once you've integrated all of the resistance, there's nothing stopping you.

I did the demonstration process along with Lauren. It was really amazing. When you said to add sounds though, it did pull me back from my database a bit. Dimmed my Q. Could you go into what to do if that happens? What do I do with the negative associations from the sounds? Thank you!
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 4 жыл бұрын
The simplest thing to do is just remove the sound, unless you need to add sound to counterexamples in order to integrate them into an auditory database. To integrate counterexamples they must be in the same modality as the database.

Hi Damon, hope all's well :) Nice video but I just wanted to ask, I have done a transformation of an ambiguous Q and in the moment I really feel it and I know I am Q. When I future pace I see myself being more Q. But I have also come across a similar situation and I haven't been as Q as I saw myself / would like to be, do I need to tune up Q more, or is it another Q I need to work with but on the same examples? Or do I need to include less / more CE in my positive database? Thanks :)

Damon I do have another question about the submodalities of Q and the counter examples... how many counter examples are recommended per Q... what about if the person is more Ad (audio digital)? As always... thank you 🙌
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 4 жыл бұрын
You want your database of any quality to contain approximately 10% to 15% counterexamples. You'll need to test to find out what is the optimal amount for your quality to be as strong as it can be. If your database is audio digital, it works the same way.

It there a possibility ( if I am practicing on someone) that I will make it worst for them ? I mess things up in there head in a way? Ps I love your channel, you are an amazing teacher Damon 🌻👍
@DamonCart
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words. Yes, it is possible to make things worse for someone. However, nothing is permanent. What I like to say is if I break anything, I can fix it and make it even better. If you make something worse, just undo it and learn from it. You won't make a mistake so bad that it really harms someone long term.
