This guy was rated 2140 uscf 17 years before his return to otb chess only 60 points and a few wins away from 2200. Hardly, a major comeback.

I still think it's an achievement to play at the same level when youre over 45, and having not played for years. And it's clear from the interview he put in good work to do it. But still, I feel like every adult improver success story I've seen so far is similar in that they are picking up from a strong rating achieved in their twenties 😅

@@Swishead . Agreed. But they should have been honest and upfront about where this guy was picking up. He wasn't some 1600-1800 club player trying to get to 2200 otb.

(forgive me if im all wrong here) but it seems to me that Matt could make an educational of sorts about how he's managing his stuttering, it sure could help many who also have pretty severe and dont know any techniques and tricks. If im wrong and out of line i apologize
