TPEE midsole, slightly higher stack height and a more conforming upper while the shoe is getting lighter? Kjerag 2 is day one buy!

YES! I love the Kjerag 1.0, but have wanted more cushion after 15 miles. Super looking forward to v2.0.
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
Yes my thoughts exactly. Super stoked for that one!

That Brut sounds like all the changes I've been hoping for, that's so good

Stoked about the Kjerag 2, and excited they finally got other colors than black and weird ivory!

Supercitical TPEE is the material that Adidas calls Lightsrike Pro and is in the Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra.

Two shoes that are incredibly durable!

The model I'm looking forward to is the Kboix, which features three interchangeable midsoles for three different uses.

The Brut shoe is the one Elhousine used to win Marathon du Mont Blanc this year, it's an amazing shoe! I'm really looking forward to the v2 personally, I could finally use the Kjerag for longer distances!
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
Great insight! That Kjerag Brut seems like something we'll ssee rather frequently at races like that moving forward!
@olircАй бұрын
Kjerag Brut answers my needs in terms of grip. Love my NNormal shoes, but just need that extra something for the muddier runs. Fab stuff.
@hawkf9199Ай бұрын
Excited for the Kjerag, I hope it is still firm but has intense bounce on trails
@owenearl9121Ай бұрын
I love my kjerag but the longest I’ve used them for is 30km. I wish they would widen the fit. I can’t escape the little toe blisters. They will last forever
@anguskay6177Ай бұрын
Both updates look great, and saw elsewhere that there's also a Tomir 2 Gore-Tex coming out at a slight weight increase. I really like the Tomir 2, so interested in that as well !!
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
Yes that's correct! The GTX upper felt super invisible too, so it should be very similar from a comfort standpoint to the regular Tomir 👍
@jeffmadiro2470Ай бұрын
These look great and liking the newer midsole material. The Brut collar scares me!
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
Yeah I'm curious as to how that one feels on foot too. Kjerag 2.0 is going to be 🔥
@jeffmadiro2470Ай бұрын
@ tomir 2.0 I’ve been happy with and comfortable doing a 12hr race in on a local ski slope this Summer.
@bunterkesselАй бұрын
So the Kjerag 2.0 is all I wanted the Tomir 2.0 to be. I wonder if the new midsole will be as durable as the old one.
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
I've heard many great stories about the incredible durability of TPEE, but we'll do a full review of it to assess 👍

Are you guys going to cover topo? MTC seem interesting also from a durability standpoint point but so difficult to know if it’s all about hype and their return policy is not forgiving. So didn’t pull the trigger to try theyre road one
@ConversationalPace9 күн бұрын
I didn't have time to go by the Topo booth unfortunately, but we are still hoping to do a full review of their upcoming Vista when it comes out this summer. Mount to coast was another booth that I went through but didn't have time to sit down and talk about their shoes in depth. Definitely hoping to review some of their upcoming trail models this year.
@ericknowles6257Ай бұрын
Brett, was the Kboix there? I just ordered mine and I half expected Nnormal to push the Kboix in Austin with 3 midsoles for one shoe
@compromisedmissionАй бұрын
I’m waiting on mine as well. It’s crazy how little the shoe is being publicized and talked about. Hope it’s not a one and done right out the gate.
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
It was there but it wasn't their primary focus. I'm wondering if that just because it's being produced in such limited quantities right now, they don't really need to be pumping it up

Any word on the forefoot fit? I loved the Kjerag but it was just too narrow at the big toe / little toe bit and would give me a little toe hotspot after about 18k.
@rmsrmsrmsrmsАй бұрын
Increasing the stack implies longer runs, necessitating a looser fit across the metatarsals. Surely they know and have made this adjustment. Now for whether they bothered to fully gusset the tongue; I guess there's no gravel in the dolomites.
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
I crammed their sample on my foot, but it was at least a size too small so I couldn't quite tell. The material is much more pliable and thinner, so that alone should help out with the fit.
@11savagesoldierАй бұрын
Hopefully with Kjerag 2 single layer upper it's still as durable
@gijssmetsАй бұрын
Does the Brut also uses the new foam like the kjerag 2, or the previous one from the kjerag 1 (which is great, by the way)
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
It is the same stack and foam as the Kjerag 1 👍

@codyjung6963Ай бұрын
Dang...this or Prodigio Pro
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
They definitely got a lot closer in range with the increased stack of the Kjerag. Prodigio Pro comes out first, so start with that, and then when the Kjerag 2 comes out, you'll be ready for that one 😅
@gijssmetsАй бұрын
Damn, I need that Brut now! It's getting muddy out here 💩💩💩
@rmsrmsrmsrmsАй бұрын
No mention of fully gusseted tongue, no mention at all in fact on how the tongue is attached on either shoe, why don't reviewers look at this immediately on any trail shoe. This (and the narrow forefoot) was my biggest kjerag complaint: It lets in shovel-fulls of gravel via huge gaps in both the tongue and the ankle collar, incredibly annoying.
@ConversationalPaceАй бұрын
Maybe you should try keeping the rubber side down 😂. It was a one man operation out there at TRE and it's pretty tough to find time to capture every single detail of every single shoe
@BornToRunCoachАй бұрын
The title says preview, which the video was extremely detailed based on the limited access they have at TRE. You are embarrassing yourself with your entitled demands. Great preview Brett, lots of great intel on 2025 updates and can't wait for your comprehensive review early next year when you can actually put the shoe on and test it, versus the few minutes you get holding it at TRE.
@Jujustr0ngАй бұрын
low key i was hoping you wouldn't like the kjerag 2. Now i gotta spend more money 🥲
