Thanks for the thorough review. There aren’t that many Tomir 2 reviews out there, and this is the most informative so far that I have seen. The real question is though; do I already have too many shoes?
@HungaroExplorer4 ай бұрын
Thank you! That question makes me laugh, because I just looked at my “army of shoes” the other day and I asked the same :))

Just bought a pair - already used x2 kjerag over 1000kms on each shoe.......great shoes
@HungaroExplorer3 ай бұрын
I don’t think I ever ran 1000km in one pair of shoe but I am happy to hear that you did. The Tomir is definitely a rugged, long lasting shoe, just like the Kjerag.

Thanks for this review. incredible quality and very clear. Trying to decide between this (Nnormal Tomir 2.0), Salomon Ultra Flow, Asics Trabuco Max 3, and Merrell Agility Peak 5. They'll be used 60% for hiking and 40% trail running with a bit of road here and there. In the UK, where usually its a bit muddy/mucky. Your opinion?
@HungaroExplorer4 ай бұрын
Thank You! I am very happy that you appreciate all the work put in this video. UK mountains can be often wet, so the Salomon Ultra Flow is out. It is the most cushioned shoes from all, but the traction is more for gravel type, light trail. (I have a review on my channel) The Agility Peak 5 and Tomir 2 is your best option in my opinion for those trails. They both have Vibram Megagrip which works very well on wet, rocky terrain. The Merrel will be cheaper but the Tomir 2 is way more durable and more scramble ready. I haven’t run in Asics yet. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your review. I just bought Tomir 2.0 (1 size up) I’m very happy the way up-hill but the way down-hill It hurts my toes so bad😢 even I wear trail socks. Any suggestions please let me know 🙏🏽
@HungaroExplorer3 ай бұрын
There are couple reasons why it can hurt your toes on the downhill. If the shoe is too small, probably not in your case. If the shoe doesn’t have a secure fit and your foot moves in the shoe. If you have a size bigger it might be too big so your foot moves in the shoe. I use my regular number and it fits nicely. Not sure what else to say.

I have both and think its worth the price. maybe id consider the 1.0 for an everyday shoe but again the comfort is better in the 2.0

Yes, I agree. I like the comfort of the nee version.

I’m a massive Speedgoat fan but defected to Tomir 2.0 for my upcoming 100k mountain race. Comfy, grippy and light (comparatively). Saying that, the Speedgoats are going in the drop bag for the halfway Checkpoint, just in case! Great review. 👍🏼👏🏼

What are your thoughts on sizing? True to size or should we size down 1/2 or up? Thanks in advance for your thoughts

I am wearing size 9 US in all my trail shoes and I wear the Tomir the same size. I wouldn’t size up or down.

Worst shoes ever! Tomir 2.0 was broken after 25 minutes on trail. Nnormal did not offer any help. If you care about the environment and quality of the product- choose another brand!

Oh wow, that is hard to believe! Wondering if that was a bad shoe in the batch or what’s happened…i didn’t hear that from anyone else. What exactly happened?

Hi! Thanks for the very informative review. Looking for a Trailhiker that is good in hot and humid weather (going to Peru in November). My issue is I have pretty wide feet - mostly wore Altras in recent years, but not convinced by their quality. Can you comment on the width of the fit on the Nnormal Tomir?
@HungaroExplorerАй бұрын
I used to like Altras but not anymore. The quality is not as good, but for me the toebox is just too wide…My feet is borderline normal/wide so I can get away with not as wide toe box shoes. For me the Tomir 2 feels wide enough with plenty space in the toe box. If you have very wide feet that might ne not enough. You should try to see how you like it.

@@HungaroExplorer how would you compare these with the Hoka Speedgoat for wet and slippery trails?
@HungaroExplorer2 ай бұрын
That’s a good question. Believe it or not, I never used Speedgoat before. For me it is just “too much of a shoe”, too bulky. They have Vibram soles just like the Tomir with a different pattern. They are two very different shoes, but can’t comment much on the Speedgoat since I only tried them in a store :)
@scottgh2 ай бұрын
@@HungaroExploreryes, the Speedgoats are bulkier. Other brands seem to have improved their treads a lot, so there are more good alternatives. Thank you for your reply.

Hey, are they supposed to smell like a barrell of chemicals straight from the box?
@HungaroExplorer2 ай бұрын
Haha, yes they do have a pretty strong smell. I am wondering if the smell is coming from the Vibram soles or the upper…usually the Gore-Tex has a smell
