I think Caleb's presence, elusive capabilities, and manipulation purely within the pocket is absolutely remarkable. Forget about scrambling around outside the pocket for second. It's just incredible. I'm a Washington Huskies fan and I remember that UW vs USC game in November and its like there were at least 5 - 6 times where im thinking alright we got past that line all we gotta do is sack him. And he escapes while staying in the pocket and throws a dart over the middle of the field. Some QBs can certainly do that, but the way Caleb does that blew me away.

I think Caleb can be something special. I have watched him in college and I am not a USC fan, I am a Utah fan. I have watched him dazzle in some of those games, this last year he had no offense line and USC had a legendary terrible defense, so he was out there trying to win the game every play. I think under a good coach and a well rounded team, especially a better defense around him, then you dont have to play perfect every set of downs. Two years ago game, USC was killing us until Caleb had that bad slide and hurt his hammy, after that Utah took advantage of his mobility and started smacking him around but before that USC was balling all over us I felt. He makes throws and plays that are amazing, if he can do what Mahomes does and win with him arm most of the time and with his legs when he has to have it...hes gonna be tuff.

I’ve seen Caleb play in person at USC 6 times the past two seasons and he consistently makes elite NFL level throws. Inside and outside the pocket, moving to either side, running and stopping on a dime and still delivering with accuracy. At this point I think Keyshawn is making an argument for arguments sake.

the bears were literally a 7 win team last year, and thats with them having 3 historic 4th quarter collapses of them blowing a 21 point lead, a 13 point lead with 3 minutes left, and a 10 point 4th quarter lead vs the browns. the probability of them losing all of those games was 0.0003%. it was the biggest fluke ever. so at minimum, the bears were already an 8 win team, more like 9 win, because there is no way they should have lost to denver or detroit last year. then they just added keenan, swift, byard and a new center. the first 3 are upgrades, and the center change makes them go from the worst center for two straight years, to a center ranked 14th to 16th overall. its a massive upgrade. they also have pick 9 overall still. so if this was already an 8 or 9 win team, and they just upgraded 4 key positions that really needed an upgrade. they have added depth. and they are about to have a top 10 pick besides caleb. not even considering caleb, with all these upgrades, this is easily a 10 win team. so if caleb is as elite as everyone says, he better win 11 or 12 games this year, or hes trash. because fields would easily win 10 or 11 with this roster. they almost won 10 last year, and if it werent for eberflus trash defense blowing multiple double digit 4th quarter leads, they coulda won 10 games last year.
@Mr.Bleeps
@Mr.Bleeps 2 ай бұрын
@@PeteZam no, don’t play these fields “would” scenarios because fields NEVER DID. What you just described was Defense collapse and guess what, fields numbers were not that great either. Bro I had faith in fields and I still think he can be good but he was not good enough. He’s enter year 4. Last year he threw for 300 yards 1 time. You need a quarter back who can throw the ball at an elite level and have great pocket passing. Tell me, what quarterback who was known for their running ever win a Super Bowl? Bears have a great overall team that’s why we won 7 games. Not because of Justin’s “amazing” playing style.
@PeteZam
@PeteZam 2 ай бұрын
@@Mr.Bleeps dude fields had 1, 1, and 3 attempts in all three of those collapses in the 2nd half. you can tell you are a casual that never actually watched the game. so fields throws it 16-20 times in the first half, gets his team up to a double digit lead. and then eberflus and his trash coaching staff, literally call 33 run plays and 1 pass in the 2nd half as they squander away numerous double digit leads, and thats fields fault. you fields haters are hilarious. imagine actually trying to argue the bears a good franchise, and it was all fields fault, and not the fact that the bears are a joke. theres a reason the bears are the only team to never have a 4k passing season or a 30 passinf td season, and it has nothing to do with justin fields. the bears are one of the biggest jokes of the league. and im gonna be laughing really hard when this little emo they are about to draft is the next bust in a long line of busts, because the bears are the laughing stock of the league. they had a chance to build an epic team, and in classic bears fashion, they bumbled away their opportunity like the joke of a franchise they are.

Keyshawn is a typical NFL analyst that assumes that if a prospect ran a pro style offence in college he’s gonna turn out well in NFL. They don’t wait for you. Damn Fields got 3 years still not enough?

Justin Fields also had the 32 ranked Defense in the NFL for 1.5 seasons. Doesn't still stop the Bears from trading him for a bag of nails. Caleb has 31 fumbles in 33 games and also has 83 sacks taken which every coach will tell you Sacks and Fumbles transfer to the next level... So the Bears best have a plan to really protect him with everything they got.

Why don't we try that with Caleb and see how well he turns out?? 🤡🤡 Again Justin is no longer with your team so let's see how he does in Pittsburgh this season will tell people a lot of what we need to know both about Justin and "Caleb". Just watching each game I’ve seen Caleb play he may not be the obvious stay in the pocket type QB but he makes unorthodox throws on the run which is like a Derek Jeter type of throw plus as plays break down he makes something out of nothing. I just hope he tweaks some things in his game and break the Chicago Bears QB curse.

Keyshawn makes no sense to me. He keeps being doubtful of Caleb because "he has to go to the right situation", basically implying that's not Chicago. But then when Skip brings up Fields, all of a sudden it's a good situation for a QB to be in? How does that even work? I've literally heard him say another time "Chicago finally has what Justin Fields was missing during his development", so how would that not be good for a rookie in that *exact* situation?

Yup ! That's what I've been saying that the Bears could have drafted Caleb Williams and keep Justin Fields both. Caleb could have rode the bench until he learned the offense and slowly adjusted to the game with no pressure and Justin Fields would have been given more time to develop and taken that next step and become a legitimate franchise quarterback. What if Caleb decides not to play for the Bears and demands to be traded or God forbid he gets a devastating injury and is out for the year now you don't have Justin Fields who has three years of NFL experience and is with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Keyshawn also wanted the Bears to keep Fields. That speaks volumes on his biased assessment. Caleb will be a superstar in the NFL, and Fields may turn out to be a decent qb but never better than Caleb.
