My thoughts - you'd be better of using a .284 Turn mandrel instead of the typical button that comes in a sizing die, and just push your 270WSM brass over the turn mandrel and you are done. However, the benefit of 300WSM brass is now you can get Lapua cases. And ADG makes 300WSM and 270WSM. The problem with necking down 300WSM brass is you are really working the case neck and you should anneal any fired brass prior to necking down that much. If you luck out and get virgin 300WSM brass, you should anneal it after you neck it down.

Thanks for the info I greatly appreciate it! That’s also why I went with 270 wsm appears to have less steps!

Are you annealing prior to resizing? Also, thank you for the content! I'm considering doing something similar.

No annealing on the 270 wsm brass I’m using.

imo, if you would have trimmed that brass before hand maybe no doughnut.
