What a great idea! You can use the pre-boiled packaged eggs too, make it completely boil free. I like to add some Dijon mustard to my potato salad

I like to keep a small jar of dill relish, that I rarely use. I think this would be that rare occasion to add to your adjusted recipe. Definitely an instant potato salad. Yum!

I hardly ever make potato salad because I don't want to over cook or under cook the potatoes. Now I will definitely be making a lot of potato salad. To make it even easier I will use pickle relish instead of the pickles and juice. Thank you so much for sharing all of your wonderful dishes with us!

Such a great idea to use the canned potatoes. I have never used them. I use a little mustard also with mine and also sweet relish. No peppers for us but that's the great thing with a dish like this it's a preference.

I too keep canned potatoes on hand. Sometimes I toss the potatoes with butter, parsley, garlic, celery salt, baking them in oven for 30 minutes as side dish. My family really enjoy this delicious side dish.

One of my favorite "potato salads" is with cauliflower!! I steam a broken up head of cauliflower, let it cool, and then add all the potato salad ingredients. Chill. It tastes as good as potato salad. Even the kids like it and they won't eat anything that looks like a vegetable!!

I’ve actually used canned potatoes before for potato salad and didn’t care for it. BUT will have to try your tips. I used diced canned potatoes and I didn’t rinse them. I think using the whole, rinsing, and drying will be better!! Thanks for the tips!!!❤

Nice recipe Tip instead of dumping the water from cans in to the sink pour it on your plants or in your garden if you have them. When ever I cook anything like Cabbage, Pasta, Veggies , I save it or freeze it use later for soups.

Great idea Ms. Catherine! I’ve done this before, and it works great for people that like chunky potato salad. 😋😋😋 Here in Louisiana we tend to like ours more creamy, especially served with gumbo. A quick tip is use bagged frozen steak fries. Boil them in salted water about 5 minutes, drain, and it’s just like homemade boiled potatoes and makes a quick potato salad! ❤️🥔🥚

Like many others, I never thought of using canned potatoes for making potato salad! But I think this would really be good in a pinch! 😘 So glad you're showing us great examples of using pantry items in our daily cooking! ☺️ So many times we buy things and stick them in the pantry without any ideas for using them. I don't usually buy a lot of canned goods but there are so many good staples to have on hand! I usually have a can of refried beans for something quick. And a good can of English peas for pea salad. My dad made really good potato salad, macaroni salad, etc. And his was like this! He used canned potatoes too, because it saved time. We didn't mind that, we loved it!
