I bought the SX. For me, the extra $5,000 for the Prestige didn't make sense. I love this vehicle! A couple of notes about seating. The SX has seating for 8 (middle row removable) and works well for car seats. The Prestige only has seating for 7 and the dentist chairs (not removable) in the back don't work as well for rear-facing car seats, according to the comments on the Carnival FB pages. The rear entertainment system is a pain in the ass and is not optional. Correction for the coach, the vehicle does not have WiFi. You have to use a hotspot or jetpack. Other than that, it is GREAT. Good luck finding one. Better yet, good luck finding one at MSRP. Dealers are marking them up $5-$10k over MSRP, just as they did/are with the Telluride. I had a connection with my dealer and got it for MSRP minus $500 rebate and $400 military/Veteran discount.

I’m glad you like your vehicle; I know that no vehicle is perfect, but there are some frustrations with the infotainment in the second row.

@@CarCoachReports That is an understatement. It is the one thing KIA needs to correct and quickly. I only have a granddaughter that will use those, so it's not a big deal for me. Overall, I love this vehicle. I like your reviews. Very thorough and fair.

How does the 2nd row bench come out, removed? All is this vehicle good in snow?

@@victoriachanel2493 each seat comes out individually by pulling a strap. Very easy. In my experience, most front wheel drive vehicles do fine in snow.

Excellent review. XS Prestige: The only thing I'm zonking KIA on are rear turn indicators, mounted low in rear bumper. Not only that, but slow flashing, old fashioned 1940's technology incandescent bulbs while EVERY other light on vehicle is modern LED. Absolutely makes no sense why manufacturers continue to follow this trend?

Yes good call & in addition to that, the SX trim does not have any LED turn indicators, even priced above $42K. SX Prestige upgrades to front-only LED indicators, but rears remain incandescent. I don't get why they don't complete all lighting in LED. This is 2022! The sad part is, most people (including our Reviewers) won't notice or care, so Manufacturers are ahead. Unfortunately it isn't just KIA doing it, but quite common.

Right now Honda and Toyota are like.. oh Wow we have our work cut out for.. I had never been interested in Korean cars, but I have to admit they have come a LONG way! The Carnival looks like a big SUV!

Loren when you gave the van a 10 for safety I thought that would be my big buying point. You are a mom and have had kids do crazy stuff. A safety 10 from a mom reviewer would go a long way.

Safety is a top priority when you’re transporting your family. We all want a fun car that has great technology, but safety is a top priority, you can replace cars you cannot replace people. 😊👍

@@CarCoachReports we will supercharge and add an air to air intercooler to ours. Our Brand Caravan has 398k miles w original power train and 2nd transmission. Road miles. So, we will be glad to see the 17 Dodge go and be replaced with the Kia.
