Wow. I would never have looked at a chrysanthemum pattern and realised I could draw it too, now I know how, thank you!

Yes! Some of those motifs are actually not too hard to draw❤️😊🪡🧵

Great minds think alike - I was doing this tonight as I couldn't make the marks I wanted on the dark side of denim. So I stitched on the "back". My stitches on the back are always smaller, so the new front had small stitches. But it think it could work sometimes! I love your Clover circle - so useful!

I was also thinking that this might be useful when I stitch on clothes! I think small stitches are very cute but my stitches looked longer than usual when I looked at them from the front😅

The stitches look very neat and cute! It's probably worth training from both sides.

This video was a wonderful break from an awful day! Funny that you addressed this since I am in the middle of hand quilting a quilt and noticed that the back side was quite lovely with the smaller stitches. I so enjoy learning new ways of doing things and am definitely going to try this. Thank you for putting a smile on my face after this bad day.💕

I did a piece with the Nowaki pattern a month ago, from the back. (Your reversible bento bag) It worked pretty good, the only thing i did not think of was to turn the pattern itself before putting it on the cloth, so in the end the grasses point to the right instead of the left as i had designed it in the beginning. Not a big deal in this case but in some patterns or designs it might be important to remember.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I happened to have chosen a symmetrical pattern but that’s a really important tip👍 Thanks❤️😊🧵🪡

How do you secure such threads if you use Sashiko on a garment? Thank you
@thegreenwrapper3 ай бұрын
Hi😊 You can secure thread in multiple ways depending on your garment. In the video below, I showed some ways to start and finish without knots. How to start and finish stitches without making knots kzbin.info/www/bejne/a53PiYyjaJ2lrbM If you have a lining, then you can use knots as well. Also, when the thread is running through a fabric in a complicated way (not just as a single straight line), it’s actually hard to pull out the thread even if you want to. So, it’s not very likely to come off. Here, I stitched Sashiko on a denim jacket without knots⬇️ kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2i2e6uKn6iNrdE

Hi! For this particular project, I think I just started without using a knot, but I have a video (though it’s a bit old) about how to start and finish stitching without knots for different types of projects. I hope it’s helpful for you😊 SASHIKO How to start and finish stitches without making knots - Sashiko for beginners Part2 kzbin.info/www/bejne/a53PiYyjaJ2lrbM
