Hi, so glad you're here. Please excuse the loud music especially thru the eggs. This was the first video I ever created completely on my own. 😬 But these are the recipes my family always requests me to bring to our family Easter potluck, so the content is good 👍 I hope you will check out some of my newer What's For Dinner videos, I feel like my editing has come a long way. Thanks for watching and have a blessed day.

What a beautiful plate of food. I wish I could take a fork and dig in! I just wanted to say that, at age 64, I finally learned how to make perfect hard-boiled eggs that are SO easy to peel. Except, they're not boiled; they're steamed! Put about a half-inch of water in a large pot, get it to a boil. Place about six or seven eggs in a steamer basket (that's how many eggs mine will hold), set it into the large pot making sure the eggs do not touch the boiling water. Cover the pot and set a timer for 12 minutes. After that, remove pot from heat and place eggs in a bowl of cold water. Let the eggs hang out in the cold water for a little while. Then crack them lightly on a counter. The shells will come right off! Thank you for sharing the wonderful recipes, and happy Easter!!

What a great dinner! I haven’t seen you use an Instant Pot yet, but it’s a game changer when it comes to boiled eggs! They peel easy every time. And we’re all about frozen roll dough. I always have a bag in the freezer. We had something called Western Burgers in my school district growing up in East Texas. It’s a ground beef mixture baked in yeast dough. It’s way easier (and maybe even tastier) to use frozen roll dough for those.

Just discovered you too! I too was intimidated by deviled eggs but thats bcuz I kept making them watching the people that their eggs are beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but no matter how lovely they looked, they taste like a plain ole hard boiled egg. I started using your recipe and THOSE are the Deviled Eggs I was looking for. I’m from the south and we grew up eating “Church Lady” Deviled Eggs so I knew the deviled eggs I first made weren’t gonna cut it at Easter. I don’t know if you cook for church suppers but if you don’t… you got the recipes down pat. Thank you🙏🏽 My little ones bellies thank you too🥰

I use a cookie scoop to put the yolks back in the boiled egg. It's easy and looks good. I put the eggs in boiling water carefully and when they boil turn the burner off, put lid on, and let them sit for about 15 min, ice bath. This usually helps the shells to come off easily and doesn't turn outer yolk green.

Deviled eggs are ALWAYS a hit! Easy to go upscale on the rest, too. Lightly steamed fresh broccoli with homemade hollandaise sauce, or even just real butter for that 'fresh food' flavor and a homemade lemon cheesecake, perhaps with an almond crust. Real food's always better than processed stuff with questionable ingredients.

Hey girly!!! Love watching these older videos as well! QUICK TIP: When boiling eggs, before you place them in the water lightly tap the end of the egg...key word LIGHTLY. This will crack the shell but not the egg sack. When boiling the eggs the water will penetrate the eggs and when you take them out immediately place them in some cold water. From the cold water roll the egg in your hand and the shells will literally fall off clean!!!!! Love this tip. It has saved me so much time!!!!

I just discovered your channel and I've been binge watching, lol. I love your recipes. Your food is simple and yummy, just like I like to eat. I'm a cheesy hashbrown casserole type of gal, and your channel is right up my alley. Your food reminds me of a delicious church potluck. Please take that as the compliment it is.

Ah Kim you made my day! That's exactly how I like to eat and cook for my family too. If it's too much trouble I won't even fool with making it, it has to be simple and delicious. Thank you for taking a look at my channel and I look forward to bringing you lots of more good food. Thanks for introducing yourself and I'll look forward to talking to you more.

I cheat! I buy my eggs for deviled eggs cooked and peeled already.😊

Honey that ain't cheating if it works for you. 😊 You know I love time saving shortcuts, 👍🏻and everybody does stuff their own way in the kitchen and contrary to what some people think - that's perfectly OK 🥰

Oh that creamed corn looks like you cut it off the Cobb and cooked it low and slow.

Just try a 5 minute ice bath one time and I guarantee your egg shell will fall right off.

@@HomemakingwithHeatherYT my mom has made that broccoli casserole for years and I even think I saw Paula Deen make it one time. She said she was never ashamed of making simple easy food that was delicious LOL

Oh, Mel, please eliminate the music. Too loud, and at times, I could not understand you. One of the things I enjoy about your channel is NO background music to contend with.
