Asparagus and snow pea pods play nice with a good stirfry technique, and strangely, so do lupini beans.

Generally I stick to marinated chicken thighs with some asparagus or pea pods, but lupini beans play real nice

Pork chow mein or Shrimp fried rice. This would be a nice shortcut to make my chow mein my way. I never thought about using pork belly but I think I'll try it with that. Looks amazing, Adam.

Pork belly and rashers are not a cheap cut in Australia. They are trendy priced from AUD $15 to $19 a kilo depending on the score and who's selling it. It's cheaper to buy a roast for around $8kg and cut it down into pieces and boil them until tender before adding to a stirfry. I prefer a rustic chop to thin slices. Leave that to the Iron Chefs. Lovely PBSF today Adam. Mogs probably likes listening to his own Purrrrrig. That's why he chose the shoebox. It would make a nice resonance! Cheers Adam 👍🤤😀

Thank you for the video and recipe! This looks really good and delicious! I like how you show what to do in the prepping and cooking process. I've added this one to my list of recipes to try as I've never cooked pork belly. Mr. Mogs was purring so he must be a happy boy. My favorite stir-fry is the Orange Park Mall's food court Sarku Japan "teriyaki chicken with cabbage, onions and carrots." I don't know why, but on the rare occasions I go to the mall, I have to get this meal. Thank you again! Have a great week! 😊💖🙏

I am with you about preparing the ingredients beforehand. I am not that slow, but swear that I would take longer than the 15 or 30 minutes on preparation alone that some recipes claim to be the total time required! After all, a home kitchen should be as relaxing as possible where every meal can be prepared with the love it deserves. Tip for parents - get the young ones in the kitchen! I would suggest that first of all, they can be that extra hand we regularly wish that we had. Move onto stirring, an underrated but essential skill in my eyes, as well as a perfect example of a third hand. I would go to preparation next, weighing, washing, chopping etc. before moving onto the actual cooking. Not only will they learn a valuable life skill without realising it, they will learn how a sensible division of labour makes life so much easier.

I got my ex partners kids involved in the kitchen with me as much as I could. They loved it. It also gets them used to trying new things if they've made it, they are more likely to try it.

Hi Adam that was a great recipe. I think I might be able to help improve it. if you boil the belly pork for about 45 minutes in water with a (veg/chicken) stock cube a few spring onions and a chunk of ginger. Then let it cool and then slice it up and fry it as you have done the fat in the pork renders out more and it is not chewy at all.

Great recipe Adam. Many years ago i tried your roast pork belly recipe for the first time having had numerous failures (the one with the trivet of veg, cider). I'm cooking it still. I'm going to make a video on this topic at some point but basically the historical hatred towards MSG stems from racism and ignorance. MSG is absolutely fine and is found naturally in a lot of foods such as tomatoes, parmesan, celery and mushrooms. It's good stuff 😉
