First off I love your videos… Great information… Now in my opinion this is happening everywhere. I moved to Panama at the end of 2020 and, for the last serval weeks we were running out of gas, food and the kids were out of school because when they strike in Panama they strike. They block roads where you can’t pass through and all.. So it is bad everywhere and you realize that the government can do something if they wanted too. However I wouldn’t change the fact that I left the U.S. for Panama I still feel it was the best decision💕

Love your content. It's very informative and entertaining. But, I don't think being out of gas in Ghana is really attributed to it being a developing nation. It just happens sometimes. Ghana is a oil and gas producers and has refineries. So there is no shortage. It happens in the US sometimes also on the south coast and east coasts during hurricane season.. I was without electricity for a month and struggled to get gasoline for a month last year after one storm came through. You just have to prepare for it. Get some gasoline approved containers and store some gas with a fuel stabilizer for those type of situations. Also, get a ups (battery back) and back up your internet , tv, etc for the time when the electricity goes off. Back up your critical stuff first. Get a system that is expandable then you can add to it as you can afford it. Then if the electricity goes off for a few hours then your ups will kick in to fill the void. Just a suggestion. Keep up the great content.

@nanabrimpong34852 жыл бұрын
This has been going on for ages. Most people would not understand because petrol/gas in Ghana is more expensive than diesel while this is vice versa abroad. Because diesel is more expensive abroad so when you explain they but diesel and kerosene to mix the petrol after they have siphoned about half into another tanker truck and fill the other half with the diesel and kerosene. So they end up with 2 tankers of petrol/gas which is more expensive to sell. This is why when there isn't anyone petrol there isn't diesel or kerosene again. It's also a strategy used by the fuel companies to hoard and put the price up due to high demands they know people would pay anything. The BP is British Petroleum he meant probably.
@nanabrimpong34852 жыл бұрын
This also keeps happening every year before Christmas. This is why things are so expensive in Ghana because everything is transported by road and not by air or trains within the country.

Inefficiency in supply in the under developed world leads to massive inefficiency multiplying. Your company will probably have to buy a gas tank with a day or two or three of gas at a shop. Thousands of other businesses will do the same, adding millions of dollars to the cost of providing services that places like Japan won't have. Water systems in underdeveloped countries are the classic example of this, most homes and businesses have their own water cisterns, which end up costing more to individuals than it would cost to maintain a water system reliably.
