Cocoa butter is used if you have any coloured modelling chocolate decorations in the ‘ocean’ if you don’t then yes you can skip the step

Amaaaazing! Thank you for posting! I tried this and my only issue was the coconut butter dissolved and mixed with the agar agar and then it wouldn’t set, kept falling apart. Can I skip coating the cake with the melted cocoa butter? If so, what would happen without it?

Hello, I have tried to pour in the gelatin 5 times and it always leaks out. I have tried many different ways: taping the whole bottom and adding film, different molds, everything you can imagine. It always leaks out. Could you please tell me how to pour the gelatin without it leaking? Thanks

It seems like your cake has gaps at the bottom where it will need to be sealed. I did this using ganache. Its all shown in the video before I put on the acetate. Ganache will stop any leaks happening.

Notice at 5:30 just before the acetate goes on I added choc ganache on the edges so the acetate sticks on to it. Refrigerate and then add the jello. This has been mentioned in the description below the video

Agar Agar is an alternative for Gelatin which is extracted from Sea weeds. If you want to slow it down you can by clicking on the toggle button on the right hand corner. There are speed adjustments.

You can use a cake decorating brush or any new art brush. Yes you can use gelatin instead of agar agar but not corn flour as you will not get a clear sea if ocean.

I don't know the exact quantity of Gelatine because I didn't use it. Flavouring makes it cloudy hence you won't be able to see whats at the bottom of your sea.
