UK rap is killing it, Central Cee, Skepta, and Dave are all guys I've listened to and love, and I'm sure there are others I haven't even listened to yet. There is also this guy Ren who is honestly one of the most musically talented people I've ever come across. The recent music he is releasing seems to be more geared towards hip-hop and rap, but he used to be a part of a band called The Big Push which is more rock music. I only came across him a couple months ago, and I've already heard him do music that I'd consider rap, hip-hop, rock, pop, folk, soul, reggae, and EDM. He plays the piano, guitar and bass. Makes his own beats and writes his own lyrics. He also does great covers and has so many videos of him busking. Then maybe my most favourite thing about him are his music videos. Just the wildest ideas and visuals. I definitely recommend that anyone take an hour to check out some of his music.

just finished listening to this. had to see the video just for a visual of these two together. love both of them. Both are hilarious guys who seem like super cool guys. i like that danny’s shows are like 45 minutes and doesn’t take an afternoon to hear an episode. don’t understand the haters complaining about YMH and saying danny should leave. Tom is obviously a fan and no one knows what the deal is between the two of them. plus they are both in austin and gets the show produced and released without all the headache. i’m sure he’s compensated enough for an hour long max show. not everyone is greedy and out to burn bridges for a few extra pennies. Plus Danny is starting stand-up and is on the network of one of the best/most successful in the business, plus is friends with some of the funniest/successful (gillis, normand, ari, christina, rogan, tim dillon etc).

Love Wheeler Walker. As someone who writes alt-country/americana I agree that “Nashville Pop/Radio Country” isn’t great like it was pre-early 2000s.
