I’m a 74 year old woman who has danced her entire life. You seem to be peering through time and space to know exactly what I need. Balance becomes a challenging thing for the aging brain. Alas, your use of barre and barreless workout is precisely what I need. I thank you for your tenacity to re-invent yourself as my personal ballet mistress.

I would love a hybrid with no intros BUT with the talking during the exercises. It is so helpful to have the tips while you are doing it and it’s motivating! I do the one with intros and try to FF to the exercise

I agree! No intros but being able to hear your wonderful tips during the combination. Wonderful life saving classes during covid!

Dear Kathryn Morgan: Thank you so much for creating these videos for us. You put your mind, soul and heart and we really appreciate it. I hope one day I can give you back what I’ve learned for you. Your videos are magic and I’m imagining I’m in a beautiful world without diseases (I’m an ER nurse) By dancing I’m escaping from the reality and I co-create my own reality. God bless you always Catti 🐝

I am a dance teacher who suffered a head injury a month ago. My doctor recommended physical therapy to regain my strength, balance and control but I knew that all I needed to do was get back to class! I started today with this class and it was a perfect balance of simplicity and challenge. It was lovely to focus on all the details. Thank you!

This workout was really challenging. I am a fifty year old beginner but I’ve been dancing for about five years. I really have been thinking about you Kathryn. All the difficulties you have been through. I had been worrying and then I remembered, Kathryn is a strong woman. She gets knocked down then she gets back up and fights. I know you will find your own path that is right for you. In the meantime, you’ve inspired a middle aged woman who has health issues, to love the ballet you instruct. Stay safe.

Just want to express so much gratitude for your videos. My 9-year-old rhythmic gymnast had to give up formal ballet due to schedule conflicts a few months ago, and her technique is really suffering. Ballet technique is so important in RG for muscle control. She started taking about 3 online barre and centre classes at home and has improved so much in a month. Can't thank you enough Kathryn!

Thank you so much! After a surgery I'm painfully out of shape after just 1 month no class! And now it's lockdown again...This barre is somethin I can manage right now and hopefully recover my strength.
@susanbauer43702 жыл бұрын
Wow! That was surprisingly difficult-- so valuable to me. I learned how much I was over-relying on the barre and actually off balance. I learned I was relying on the barre to gain extension (at the expense of alignment). That was quite a challenge, and I will be coming back to it as well as trying to reduce my reliance on the barre in other classes. Thank you so very much!

Hi Katie, I found your channel a couple months ago and I so appreciate all that you've done for us dancers who didn't start out at 2 years old. I'm almost 49 years old I've always loved dance and every form. Because of the pandemic I started taking online lessons with my ballet coach who also does figure skating which I do too. We both embrace ballet to help us look graceful and strong on the ice. My coach was no longer able to coach me so I looked online and found you! I appreciate your love and honesty about everything in the ballet world. I did this beginner workout about a dozen times and I would say I'm finally getting it! I'm really focusing on getting my basics and getting a strong foundation. I've seen much improvement in myself already. Appreciate you so much 🤗.

I fell off a ladder landing on both feet. My knees took a hit. When I returned home after emptying a house practically by myself I broke my toe. I am so out of shape. I’m afraid to take a public class. I like the short classes. Your classes are wonderful thank you. I was able to do it enough to get benefit.

I love these workouts! But sometimes I feel like the beginner ones are a bit too easy and the advanced ones a bit too difficult. ONLY IF YOU WANT, could you do a 100% intermediate workout? I love your work!

Variety can be good but yes 100 % of a certain type is nice.

Especially with speed of the battements - would be great to have something in between the easy/beginer barres and the intermediate ones.

Hello, Kathryn! First of all, thanks a lot for you content it's always amazing and I always love it, i've been following since i was around 14/15. I'm 19 and have always loved dance, especially ballet, but was never able to actually do it, because classes and all the stuff are quite pricey in my country. I would really love to learn it (even if just the basics, cause it is a very good exercise and i've been needing those) but i don't have any equipment. I do have a full length mirror (not very wide, perhaps around 50 cm) and a variety of chairs in my house to use as bars, unfortunately no ballet shoes and no idea of what type of clothing i could use. Do you believe I can follow this bar (even though i don't know any of the basics yet) or do you know of some even more beginner level classes i can find online? I would also really appreciate any tips you might have. Thanks in advance for everything and keep up your incredible work. Love from Brazil 💕💕 (i commented this on the other video as well, but i thought this would be easier for you to see)

I am doing this at home. Just wear something comfortable, leggings, sweat pants, a top and barefoot or you can get ballet slippers online they are not very expensive. Chairs work as a barre too

Hi Kathyrn! I heard from someone online that doing ballet from KZbin tutorials without a mirror or someone to watch will actually teach bad habits. I have done ballet classes before, so I already had some (small) sense of technique. I found their comment really sad because I've really been enjoying your classes, and realistically, I wouldn't be doing ballet very often without channels like yours. It seemed like kind of a perfectionist mindset. What do you think?
