The artifact combination you found at the end is pretty hilarious, actually - I almost always play with friends and have never put on the chaos artifact, so I didn't realize attacked enemies would actively retaliate against each other (instead of just taking coincidental damage). Mithrix being a sad old man when there are no items to steal is also pretty funny. Thanks for making this vid!

Mercenary has proven easiest for me with Mithrix's final phase, due to the mobility afforded by his default utility and special, both counting towards damage to start getting items back, and his special giving you invulnerability. Feels like a proper duel. Loader's mobility always felt crummy and slow by comparison. With mods, the Enforcer survivor from RoR1 takes it easily with his frontal shield, unless you grabbed sticky bombs, which Mithrix will stick onto you directly. It's also very easy to do a minimal item run with Enforcer once you unlock his heavy machine gun for higher base fire rate and range, but tis a mod.

If you use the *chemical soup* to exchange all your items and abandon them. (You can’t have any grey items, and red and green must be a multiple of five) This place can be found just left of the main path that you skipped. Using your same strategy used to skip the pathway to the *chemical soup,* you can make it to Mithrix.

definitely a very interesting video from start to finish ! i remember when i first picked up 1.0, my friends and i cheesed our way through mithrix and had no real idea of how difficult the fight could get. after getting to (and to a much lesser extent through) it a couple more times now, watching him just walk around with no items and do nothing then die was really satisfying, so thank you very much for that

This video is a really good video and the hard work, dedication and effort put in clearly shows, so props for that, i also applaud you for the time you took to make sure this video was both informative but also mostly containing relevant information, granted i would say if you're attempting a challenge that you know is going to be difficult and no one has ever done anything similar, you should just give it a set number of attempts or limit the amount of times you modify your script, at least thats what i saw other youtubers do, because challenges not only can be time consuming but also very subjective to the players playstyle and so there isn't one way you can beat it and no matter how hard you try there will always be someone that will manage to find a new game breaking way to beat said challenge, so focusing on trying your best and once the challenge has been successfully completed to go straight and finish making the video and then updating it through the description or community tab once something new appears would be the easier approach it also puts much less stress on yourself cause videos are by default very stressful to make, granted gg for cheesing the end game boss fight

If you guys want to do this just for The Calm achievement, you can still grab a few items that Mithrix can't even use: -Tougher Times (will block a lot of damage) -Soda (to sprint faster) -Hoopo Feather (helps you dodge easily) -The uncommon flower thingy (heals during teleporter events) -Bungus/Wungus (to heal) -The red item that doubles healing Make sure to grab Command and Sacrifice artifacts.

Fun fact about something Disputed Origin says in this video, the developers actually did leave the Mithrix boss arena open because they anticipated people coming up with creative ways to skip the pillars. They said this in a video where they watch a 9 minute speedrun. (The player chose Loader)

Want to break the boss in a way that is unhelpful? One shot mythrix second form and he will “die” and the countdown will start, yet phase three will begin. Yes, you heard right. You now have 3 minutes to both defeat mythrix and get back now.
