For those watching in 2021 who picked it up on sale... if you have received a freighter yet, then read some guides on getting a good one. The short version is so not accept the first one. You have to save scrum to do it properly but I settled on a A class 32/9 freighter. It was well worth the effort and only took about 4 hours and a lot of it reading. I was lucky though with a 2% chance for my class and mines better than many others of the same class. It may seem tempting to pick up the first one, don't. It's well worth waiting. I suppose it helped that I got a very, very good B class ship really early on. Helped reduce the need to rush for a freighter.

I wish they would give better drops for frigate modules for completing frigate missions. I could care less about the money frigates bring due to my industrial farms. They really really want to force you into a life of piracy to upgrade your freighter.

That is why I oriented more to exploration and base building which is fixed in the last update. I have to say that after a while I do not have any desire to send frigates on the missions because I personaly do not find it too much fun as as it was at the begining. But I hope that they will change certain game mechanics over time.

One thing you didn't cover is difficulty of missions for frigates. I have over 20 S class frigates but my missions are never over a 3 star difficulty. How do I raise that number?

You can't, just one of those silly things about this game that doesn't make sense.

@@davehooper6481 lol that's wild...I had something weird happen just this morning that I've never experienced. I was working on my base running around outside when I got a notification about an incoming storm... normally the heated rainstorms I get on my planet are very mild so I wasn't worried, but all of a sudden I started to get pummeled by what looked like fireballs coming from the sky. For a moment I'd thought a buddy of mine joined without me realizing and he was messing around firing on me from his starship above but there was no one around. After about 20 seconds it stopped and I never actually got the rainstorm I thought I was going to get. You ever experience anything similar?

@@owensorg3028 I've seen meteor showers, raining fire, and the ground on fire. I think maybe you got hit by a meteor or several

Hey sorry for late response. And this was because I was trying to determine what are the factors which define the difficulty of the mission. It looks like it generates random difficulties every day. I don't know what is the math behind that but it looks that that is it. At first I thought it is based on the system you are in but it turned out that that's not correct. I know that this doesn't help you but this is all I have and for the matter of fact I think that this is what anyone would have. Cheers!

i have a freighter spawn coordinate and im trying to get it to spawn (pulsing/hyperdrives, everything) but its been 5 hours and nothing so far, any ideas? its a massive black and blue star destroyer type.

@@completeloony ah i found it like 4 hours after my post, thanks though. i just afked at my base for 2 hours building and messing with stuff, then went back to the outpost i made and warped to the system and BAM it was there, got my S class now, thanks for the help though!
