Do you guys think Gukesh will be a legitimate threat to Magnus Carlsen in 2025?

Don't know, but want to see Fisher Freestyle. Seems like some chess champions now take non-optimal chances to break out of the formulated, memorized openings. After freestyle, I think we will be able to evaluate the levels of the great players better.

Magnus is the greatest of all time, but anyone can have a bad day or have countless other possible factors that cause them to not play their best chess. If Gukesh preps well, he definitely has a chance to beat Magnus. Especially in classical chess. All of that being said Magnus would definitely still be favored to win

3.05 / 5.25 / 8.25 / 11.20 / 13.54 + 7x till the end I analyzed your analysis: You use the word “now” 57 times in this video. ( timestamp for each time 10x “now”: 3.05 / 5.25 / 8.25 / 11.20 / 13.54 + 7x till the end ). The video is 16:40 minutes long, which is exactly 1000 seconds. That means you use the word “now” every 17.54 seconds on average, which seems record-breaking. Not a negative review, just an observation. I have to agree with the content of your analysis, since it is impossible to do my own analysis since my elo is about the same as a carpet beater...

Gukesh is not really a speed player. He's a classical player. Magnus is all round.
