Om Yapa has been my go-to strategy and have replaced the cute baby meditation for pandas. It works wonders. Blessings and blissings!

I do Om Japa but this clarifies just how necessary it is. It reminds me that purification cannot be avoided or glossed over. So now I can see a little better how I should remember to do it every time a negative feeling comes up while not pushing the feeling back into the unconscious nor dwelling on it. It makes sense to me that people with abusive backgrounds have more purification to do. Thank you Forrest.

YT Algo is looking out for me, but not as much as FK. Was taught to use out-loud chanting in the chakras, but faded it out over time frankly due to always having throat problems. Never realized the worth of the quiet OM japa even though liking it, but never seeing it as part of the core practice. Well results as described in the video. There's no progress without stumbling, is there. Thank you for sharing your insight.

Hi Forrest, just wanted to check-in and say that ever since this video I've been doing Om Japa and Navi Kriya in the evenings, maha mudra, and breathwork (alternate nostril and ocean breath - the latter is my favorite, I do it even while at work) and the inner transformation is beautiful. The most astounding thing I've experienced so far is the amount of love and acceptance I feel towards others, and myself, and the calm I experience in situations that would otherwise cause great anxiety in the past. The feelings of hatred and disgust have slowly tansformed - for the first time in years I've been able to genuinely hug my sibling and my mother. I used to avoid hugging my family as it caused a deep visceral reaction, making me want to distance immediately. But now when I hug them, it's as if I feel our hearts connecting and it feels so good. What you said about fear decreasing is very true, I cannot wrap my head around how naturally the emotions and thought processes transform when you do the kriya work. I liken this to somatic & psycho-therapy on steroids. I stopped my chakra meditation when this video came out and only resumed it a few days ago. And here, also, I've been able to go deeper, I feel the energy better, and I began feeling vibrations in my root chakra and medulla region - two areas which I was struggling to feel at all before. I'm so glad I found your channel, because through you I found my way to a real treasure - kriya yoga. Your way of explaining really appealed to my scientifically inclined mind, and I don't think I would've been receptive to this knowledge otherwise. Thank you, Forrest!!!

Hey Forrest! After your answer I also stopped all that I was doing and started doing the Navi Kriyas and Om Japas. And wow!! In like less than 1 week I can already feel a great difference!! Yesterday I did a longer Navi Kriya and I think I felt the Roll Up of Consciousness for the first time!! I really felt an energy coming up, from the base to my head, and strong waves of Bliss!! I was laughing and trying to hold it, because it was so unexpected, and it lasted a couple of minutes. Was amazing! It came the minute I stopped doing the Navi and let it go. I didn't manage to replicate that again, but this experience really showed me that now I'm in the right path!

Forrest, so I have used this technique outside of the chakras. I've used it mainly into my right hip joint. Because it really tends to piercing pretty deep to release anything that's super deep..... Just wanted to throw that by you to make sure it's not something I'm doing that I shouldn't do.... Been working fine so far. So considering is probably good thing. But you know I'm no expert at all of this so, why I am listening to you... Thank you

If you feel that shame and guilt during the shadow work just feel right into the center of that and hold. At least that's what I do and it seems to pass right through. Go figure it seems to pass right through like a vibration. Hmmmm . See when I was dealing with PTSD and I didn't know that's what was going on, I would do everything in my power. Just try to like breathe it away. Will myself through it. Big big big big mistake!!! For anybody that does this type of work that finds themselves mired and shame guilt or any of the such. There's a reason you're feeling it and there's a lesson to be provided. Everybody feels it and it's okay for it to happen. There's nothing wrong with you, you're just learning. Sometimes when you roll as you learn, there can be growing pains.

So if I just own in the chakra it seems to work. But when I say the jopra at the end, it really does the snapback of the energy like you say. So I pretty much use it everyday honestly. I can find the center pretty much instantly, but it allows me to find the center of the center of the center until an unfolding happens, or a bloom of the lotus I suppose. As that's quite accurate .I'd really love to know why. Because I am just going to go ahead and assume that it doesn't absolutely need to be that word....

I still want to hear particular reason as to why that particular saying does that lol . I take it. You might not really know though.... Come on Forrest how we are is westerners. We want to know why exactly how. Why? I love you so much because you bring a clinical explanation to something very mystic. Instead of falling short as most yogis, ive listened to, do and making this separation between science and yoga of which they're most definitely is no separation.

Which saying does what, specifically?
@Vshamann336
@Vshamann336 4 ай бұрын
@@ForrestKnutson sorry once again talking in my dictation program while working. To be specific, I was speaking of when I say aum Jopra or ohm, I should say, The Jopra part absolutely does have a snapback of the energy and if I do it 5 to 10 times it normally unfolds my chakra in a very comfortable relaxed. Almost not their feeling. Or at least that's usually the experience. Sometimes it's more of a vibrating. Almost like lit up, Kind of like dragon Ball z type feeling lol. But I was saying I would love to hear an actual explanation to why that's working, how it is working exactly. Because I'm assuming that you don't necessarily need to say Jopra. I've often only just owned and that's always been just fine, but as one of your videos instructed to help find the center to say the Jopra. And it absolutely worked on finding the center of the center of the center etc etc. and when I was having trouble really getting into the center it honestly worked instantly for me basically... Thank you for that. But yeah I've been really kind of brain stumped on to why exactly that is working for me. Possibly just because I have you in a slight position of authority as a teacher for me and the suggestion alone did it...... And I know that. Example, when you do the om chant it plays on your nervous system in particular your vega nerve I believe if I remember correctly. And lucky enough for me. I literally only have to do it once in my whole body drops, but it doesn't stay like that unfortunately. And I find if you repetitively do it it can have negative consequences where it's almost that I have put myself into the freezer spots too hard or something. But that's for another time. But you have some pretty in-depth scientific explanations, so I was wondering if you had one for this in particular? It's all good. If you don't, I understand if there's no real how to why it's working or if I just hit the nail on the head with the suggestion part.

@@Vshamann336 I've talked about this in some videos. The energy and consciousness in each chakra is a projection from the brain. So, the OM is disrupting that projection, causing it to bounce back to its origin in the brain.
@Vshamann336
@Vshamann336 4 ай бұрын
@@ForrestKnutson I see. And yes I do remember you discussing that sometime ago. I get the projection part and maybe that's just a deeper explanation than I'm actually looking for . but is it disrupting it because it's playing onto the nervous system? As when you do the ohm chant you end up stimulating your parasympathetic. So it's kind of like the Jopra is like you're saying disrupting that stimulation, or maybe for me more accurately it's holding that stimulation and disrupting everything else that was not allowing that stimulation..... And for me, lucky lucky me, I don't really have to chant it. I only have to do it once and I get a pretty heavy response from my nervous system. Maybe not so lucky because it doesn't completely stay like that, but I kind of toss that up to the trauma. Lol I'm still working out of my nervous system. What a journey! Which thanks to you Forrest, is pretty close to gone and lessons integrated, or at least learned. I'm not always the best on the integration part I don't think... It's been quite the process, quite intense actually and scary, but when released extremely blissful and comfortable..... And just to be completely clear, you're talking of the actual chakra, not the door, correct. Just being clear on that because when you say projection it kind of makes me visualize the door of the chakra spinning instead of the actual chakra itself...... I'm taking it you're saying it's all a projection .. Is there any difference between the projection of anything on the energy body and the physical body. Would you say it's all a projection of the mind? That's kind of where I'm at with it. It's just that one is or has been manifested into physicality, yet the way I even see evolution, physical evolution I should say, is a manifestation of the mind. As watching animal, or even will take it to an extreme example, you can introduce certain aspects to a colony of bacteria and watch them evolve. Now they might not make that niche evolution. That's letting them survive on a conscious level, but they are certainly making that choice on a subconscious level to grow and use more of what helped them survive. Thus, manifesting that evolution. As you know if like claws helped me and I started growing my fingernails longer and it passed down through the generations cuz it helped us survive in some way or another., it's funny because many would see that as no evidence towards manifesting, Just this thing called evolution with no deeper thought into what that is. But in my mind it is the deepest evidence of manifesting, and it should not be negated just because it's part of your physical body.... My opinion and speculation on that one though... Back to work, thanks forrest. Someday we're going to meet so I can express my gratitude in person. To which Forrest said no no no we don't need too.lmao 😂😇 As I probably seem quite insane at times with some of the things I've said, not editing because I'm just a little too busy and deeply engaged in these conversations, and I don't want to lose the thought sometimes. You know that would be the reason why I see him insane. None of these other things were discussing lmao!!!!!!!😂😎 Yeah because of my editing.. thanks for the audience Forrest. Stay growing wild and unlogged! Because only a Forrest so deep and ancient, can hold such knowledge...... To fit an endless ocean within a droplet rolling down a leaf..... Dear beloved Forrest. What is your take on micro-dosing psychedelic mushrooms? I have experienced trauma in my life, I am a former addict to narcotics and promised myself I would not try anything until 7 years being off narcotics. That 7-year mark is coming up this June, and I have read about how micro-dosing can help elevate a lot of this anxiety I experience. Can micro-dosing add or subtract to the meditation experience? I would love to hear your insights on this matter with trauma, micro-dosing, consciousness, and meditation. Thank you, Forrest.

As I understand it microdosing is more for creativity and clear thinking--many techies in Silicon Valley use it for this-- and trauma and addiction are treated in clinical settings with therapists in person with larger doses. I'm not sure microdosing would address anxiety. All of that said I believe (from pretty extensive personal experience with both psychedelics and with meditation) that psychedelics are useful to assist in meditation only in the sense that they can help us deal with trauma, etc. that might get in the way of our ability to meditate. I'm not sure I would want to microdose and meditate since that might give a false sense of going more deeply into the meditation than we can actually maintain without it. Just my two cents.

Yo Forrest, you need to start dropping out the spelling of these lineages as you say them on screen. For example, the one lineage you speak of whatever I say it my program comes up with, for the obvious reason, the Harry Messiah. I'm sure the or a Messiah may have been hairy to some extent, but I am not seeking the hairy messiah! Or am I!? 😉 Just playing lol but yeah, some spelling on these lineage names would be great along with probably other things too that are little bit of a tongue twister for us English speakers And if you are doing that and I've just missed it, my apologies. It's often that I'm not actually watching the video but working listening to the video. I will go back and watch later though to make sure I get the full integration. But yeah, if you're not doing that it would be absolutely wonderful if you started doing that.... For those of us that are English speakers looking up these terms and words.... If you need a video editor, I'm no professional but I'm getting into it myself to make my own videos. Possibly it could line up for the two of us to where. Maybe I get some education and you get some free work? Hmmmm 🤗
