Best ever drill from Monte is still the swinging the broom… for me fixes everything from lag to tempo.

I have met a pro and really started inproving my swing with him. However the difficult thing to overcome in the swing change process is what I call the "2 steps forward 1 step back". It is daunting to take a swing change to the course because of the fear of scoring badly when you know you have scored better on a good day with your older swing. When you finally get to a certain level and start beating your buddies the fear of not keeping that up is strong.

I fine your interview with numerous instructors very beneficial. However many instructors seem to contradict on another. Monte Schienblum teaches two completely different ways to reach impact. He gave you one lesson: 1.Set the club at the top of your backswing by an early cocking of the wrist and the cast the club to reach impact( the no turn cast drill). 2. The strap on device in order to create a flat left wrist at impact. Both drills seem to work but also seem to be contradictory. I guess you just pick the one that seems to work best for you.

It would be cool to see a swing comparison from when you first started to now. You were pretty good at golf when you started this channel if I remember correctly. Anyways great video 🤙

The best lesson I had when I first started playing was "don't take anything more than a 7 iron on the course and gradually built up when I got more confident and of course better"
@brianmcg3213 жыл бұрын
My high school golf coach had our team go out with nothing but a 7 iron, sand wedge and putter for nine holes once. Three guys that had never broken 40 for nine holes shot par. Lol. He almost made them play the rest of the season like that.

Posture too bent over. Try the motorcycle move (Monte does it like a casting and bowing of the left wrist) in transition. You are extending your left wrist in transition, should be flattening it
