Not too surprising. It’s an obscure comic book supporting character that might’ve been better served debuting in an actual Spider-Man movie rather than debuting as its own tentpole franchise in Brazil?? An American debut would’ve no doubt opened to an audience of “some” size. Curious to know if SONY followed the same roll out with Morbius or Madam Web. Venom fooled them into thinking that every Spider-Man related character/property is going to automatically be a hit. They could learn a thing or two from Feige and company as to how to introduce minor characters to the masses.

Joker 1 worked obviously not Joker 2 but that's a film done well but that's because Joker is a well known IP and many love Joker and the character is already iconic Thanos wouldn't have worked cause no one knew him at the time besides comic fans, they had to be built uo over time and the main focus in IW had Endgame which made him iconic. But a Thanos stand alone now would do very good Some characters work because the IP is already established and popular. Kraven, Morbius, Madame Web, no one knows these characters and then Sony produces terrible films about them, bad CGI, designs, scripts and no Spider-Man in thr universe? Like what? How is it even a Spider-Verse? I heard a birdie Madame Web script was done with AI. Yeah, glad Sony is canceling the SonyVerse. They should've been dons it through Knull and have him enter Spider-Man 4 now they should just stop at Kraven and be done with the whole thing. Focus solely on Spider-Man 4, Beyond The Spider-Verse & Nicholas Cage Black Noir. Then hand the rights over to the MCU fr, at least try to end on a somewhat good note with some dignity 😅
