Is it only me? I guess so. Spiderman my least favorite hero. And when you really think about it, all of his villains are just silly. They did get better in the movie versions though - Vulture being the best thought out and executed. Aaron Taylor Johnson is fabulous though. I only wish him greater success, and he would make a great Bond if they are going to pass on Cavill. Sony doesn't know what they are doing with this material. Venom was a fluke thanks to Tom Hardy's obvious talent.

Remember Black Panther worked because it didn't take place in the US, and this character is African. Big difference. Just look at the resistance to Anthony Mackie. It wouldn't matter, Sony doesn't know what is doing because the people at the head of the studio do not understand the material and it's audience - they just don't believe. They like the money, but lack the understanding.

Sony, I've said it in nearly every Kraven video, just go out and purchase Web of Spider-Man #31-32, The Amazing Spider-Man #293-294, and Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #131-132. There you go. Your script is done. No re-writes needed. Those 6 issues are some of the best comics writing to ever appear in print. The story is amazing, it has real gravitas. The character arcs are phenomenal and impactful. That's all you needed to have not only have a billion dollar Spider-Man film, but one that if shot to match the tone of the comics, could be in the conversation for best all time super hero films because the story is just that damn good. But why use one of the best stories ever written when we can have this? Right? The real shame is we may never get to see Kraven's Last Hunt on the big screen, which is a real loss.

I don't know what was so bad about about Kraven, i saw it last night and it was a fun and interesting watch. Good fight scenes, good R rated violence, they didn't shy from blood and gore. Kraven was powerful and driven by a believable reason. The story was good enough, even the little plot twist at the end was good and unexpected. so overall give the movie a chance i think many will enjoy it if you can leave the preconceptions behind.

It was always a weird choice to have a cinematic universe of Spider-Man characters WITHOUT SPIDER-MAN. Why'd they think this would be a great idea? Sony should take the L and not reboot.
