We adopted the cat in the shelter the longest time. She needex special meds due to brain damage. Pepsi was the sweetest girl. We only had her a year before she died from her brain injury. But she knew love...cuddles and became good friends with a dog we adopted fro. The same shelter a year earlier. The dog paased from cancer. They are together forever on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Not everyone has the means of caring for a puppy with a condition. I have one, and he is a very worth it, but very expensive boy. It may not be their "true colors", but just their true bank accounts. I agree that it is best when people realize they won't be able to provide what an animal needs and leave it to someone who can. Even though it is sad when you really want to rescue them. :(
