I feel you. I'm still pre-T and a year ago I thought nobody would want to get to know me because I pass for both genders even though I identify as male. My cis friend would try to cheer me up regarding dating because I was feeling lonely as well. In my Spring semester though I locked mg keys in my car, so while I waited for my mom for bring me my spare key an acquaintance from high school walked over to me and we started talking. two weeks later he toured me around a different campus and he asked me out that day after I'd told him I am Transgender. we have been going strong ever since. My point of this is that it feels like we'll be alone for a long time, but we really won't. There is someone out there, and they'll knock you off your feet when you meet them. Sorry didn't mean to make this so long.

I've never really had a problem with dating people in the area of my gender but most of them don't work out literally just because they're shitty people or I was the shitty person and left so the other person can find someone better. For now, I'm kinda in the time of my life where I don't really want to date or strive for it, I just sleep with whoever I want and if something happens, it happens. I'm a trans masculine guy, but I'm pre-t (potentially forever for various reasons), and I haven't had top surgery and I recently "lost" someone from my life because though she had feelings for me, she identified as a lesbian and thought dating me would make things "too complicated". Just want to say that when I came out my mum told me no one would love me because I'm disgusting now and I think about it all the time and it really bothers me but then I remember I'm engaged to an amazing guy and even though it isn't perfect I'm still so happy in knowing that someone loves me enough to stay with me through coming out and through my transition. He is beyond amazing and although I wish he would be better when I'm having a bad disphoria day or don't feel masculine enough I'm still as happy as ever. So basically even though I do often feel the same way I still know that at least in this moment I am loved. Also I'm not meaning to sound at all ungrateful for my partner I'm simply saying that I do understand to an extent and yes he isn't perfect but neither am I and that's completely fine. One time during one of my dad's angry/worried(?) arguments with me he literally said, " you'll be depressed all your life and never find love". That mentality is with quite a few people. Even today, I was with my friend to go met a girl she was talking to on Tinder. She's trans too. We kinda got into a little topic about Tinder and how a lot of people skip us or you know not as many matches? She was saying she's usually lucky if that person is bi or something. Which I'm like yeah I feel you. Its NOT always that way though there are good people that can love you for who you are and being yourself can even help them learn about themselves. Dating doesn't work the same for girls as it does for guys. Girls get to be the choosers. In the case of guys, only about 10% of guys get to be choosers, the rest of the 90% have to settle for whatever they get. It guys, 10% of the guys, have sex with 60% for the girls.
