I think I may try this "no product" test with my hair because I have been struggling terribly with finding the right product for my type 4 hair. I'm so tired of spending money on products that don't work 😒

This was me a few weeks ago. I got tired of searching for products and one day just decided to deep condition and then I added argan oil, shea butter and that was it. My hair was like HELLO I'm moisturised
@katirisherman91697 жыл бұрын
GhanaianLove it's a good way to see what your hair needs by what is lacking. I just did this and just scrunching olive oil to my ends every day when I wake up keeps it soft, my hair also didn't shrink as much, even with no product after blotting the water out my hair was not fully dry the next day telling me I'm low porosity, etc.

that's all KZbinrs ever talk about is definition definition definition!!! I am so glad someone is wearing their hair without worrying about definition. welcome to my world

less product= less buildup on scalp,= more growth. So I do believe in the simplicity and I started this may too. It's crazy to see it on youtube. My hair feels better with less product... I basically use water and barely use pure sheabutter and argan oil sometimes. Thank you

I am kind of following the same vibe. Less is more and my hair loves it when I let it be do whatever it wants to do. I am over definition. I just twist or bantu knot my hair at night in four sections, take it out in the morning and I get a beautiful afro. Love you channel. Keep it up! 😘😘😘

I've been natural for almost 4 yrs and I use the LCO method. However, I only use it on my wash day. I wash my hair one to every two weeks depending on the style my hair is in. I don't moisturize my hair every day after my wash day. I do it when I need to. Even then, it's just a moisturizer and a sealant. Dry hair breaks. I know you want to use less products which is good but I wouldn't let my hair get too dry.

I know people have to keep their Vids going and stuff but like in actuality they get so many products free they will have a person really turning into a product junkie when the reality is all u need is a few staple products and that's it....all the extra just to get healthy natural hair has a lot of females losing touch which the process and wanting to continue the process and running back to relaxers because of all the products hyped up on the internet females coming on here with good weaves and faking it for waist length hair it's getting so out of hand and ridiculous really...can greatly appreciate genuine vids like yours keep up the good work

Tashina Wilborn Guuuuuurrrrrrlll you said a mouthful! At one point I became discouraged due to the overwhelming numbers of naturals and the plethora of products. Those ladies were posting such great results and yet NONE of those wonderful products worked for me. 😱😰😢😳😫 Seven years and $2.5 million in, I'm finally starting to realize less is better. I told myself just KISS-keep it simple sweetie!

I'm really glad you experimented with No Product. I have 4c hair, and I've experimented with so many products that my hair has just straight up REJECTED. Eventually I gave up and just stuck with shampoo + conditioner and a light oil ... and my hair (was dry yes), but felt really ... happy? (that sounds weird) But it didn't feel weighed down, it didn't feel like product was just sitting on top of my hair ... my hair actually absorbed the oil, usually when I tried all these other products my hair would not absorb anything ... So I realized, LESS ==> MORE? & now my hair is soft, moisturized, & oddly enough, REALLY LOW MAINTENANCE. From time to time, I'll swap out a conditioner for something else, or use a cleanser in place of my shampoo ... But I try to keep the amount of products I use in my hair under 3. & WATER is my hair's best friend ...

My scalp: "Am so jealous of your ends, you give it all the attention with them nice/no damn reason expensive products, while am down here being clogged up" My ends: "plz, all she do is watch KZbin and put all diff kind of product, she stifling us!! Me: "I heard you too plotting to make me bald" Now all I do is wash with my black soap mix with olive oil, deep cond with: shea butter, honey rosemary tea, whatever thickening agent I have, ie arrowroot etc...twist with Shea butter, olive oil and castor oil.... I have a carnival parade on my head now, they so happy :)

I literally come on KZbin to get motivation from natural hair girls to keep on rocking my natural hair. On a daily basis I get a lot of ignorant and hurtful comments about me being natural and educated. For some reason people tend to think the two just aren't a good mix and blame my natural hair for the reason I recently lost my corporate job. The odd twist is I was conducting a breast cancer research study on black women only. Some of the women encouraged me to keep my hair natural while others just made rude comments.

Sounds great, I learned about my normal porosity so I don't need to as many products in my hair in a week as I thought I did. Found out once a week I need moisture butter and oil but twice a week I need to put in leave in conditioners then wash it out. My hair is doing great.

Tekishia Chambers I am medium porosity too and all I need throughout the week is rose water. and I think its becauseee it balances the oh of my hair. I see very little breakage now too.

GREAT VIDEO!!! Less can definitely be more! Last summer, I tried using honey, citrus, and henna on my hair a lot. I always ended up using too much. Now I've put nothing but water into my hair since December 1st, and my hair is doing so much better! Granted I cut all of it off a week after New Years (I didn't like the color of the henna, nor how it loosened my natural waves), but still...

When you wash your hair how do you get it stretched out like this? I know if I let my hair air dry even in twist it gets really shrunken and tends to tangle up.
@HereDiianas7 жыл бұрын
Alyssa Cooper Try to leave the twists in for more than one day. I have noticed that the longer I keep my hair in twists the longer it stays elongated when it's out and dry. Also using minimum products help. Try using oil or Shea Butter only after washing to seal in the moisture!
@PrettyLittleFro7 жыл бұрын
Exactly what @HereDianna said! After I take out the twist i just pin up the sections like i mentioned in the video and thats it!

I'm new to being natural, so a few months ago I bought styling products & applied after I washed my hair. I tried to do a braid out & it looked horrible. So I just went back to weave, last week I tried braid out with on products & it turned out great. I always thought that product was a most, but it isn't for my hair ..I guess 🤔

Thanks SO much for the option of simply TWISTING your hair at night (as opposed to doing 2-strand twists) and then pinning the twists before sleep. On nights when I just want to crash this is gonna really save me. Great tip!!!!
