Absolutely stunning, man. This has always been one of my favorite Zeppelin songs! It is so friggin' psychedelic and that riff gives me chills non-stop. No matter how many times I hear it... it's always the same effect. And your improvised solo was stunning, man. I LOVED it. Yet another fantastic cover and tutorial video, buddy! You're amazing. and you rock!

I couldn't agree with you more man!!! I've always thought that this song is what it would sound like if Pink Floyd covered Zeppelin or something haha! That riff is definitely timeless and many more generations of future musicians will probably be learning it without a doubt. The 70s was definitely THE decade of guitar riffs. As usual, your comment is very much appreciated, thanks for taking the time to write these!! 👌🏻🤘🏻

Thank you for posting this awesome video!! I genuinely laughed out loud reading your comment - this is the first riff I’m trying to learn on my Les Paul. As a massive massive Floyd fan I totally agree, though I never thought of it like that before. Big thanks!

This is fantastic! I'm a huge Zeppelin fan, and I like how you made it your own. Yout use of the 5b in the first licks of your improv created the perfect amount of tension - then you totally ripped it up using the minor pentatonic....that's some killer soloing bro! Liked subbed and belled!

Thank u bluesrocker, it is indeed a really fun one to play! This one and The Ocean are probably my favorite Page riffs! Very underrated. I was also confused after seeing it played both in standard in C#m and tuned down played in the D minor position as if it was standard, but came across a few sources that claims Page slowed down the tape machine. Crazy how we can do this so easily now in Logic and other DAWs 👍🏻 Thanks for watching 🤘🏻

@@JoseOrozcoGuitar Of course, I lov Zep. yet, the girls are fresh and so darn sexy!! Gretchen Menn is just virtuoso on all the Page riffs. I want to ask you: don't feel pressure: haha: Beatles or Stones????
@JoseOrozcoGuitar
@JoseOrozcoGuitar 4 жыл бұрын
HAHA I agree!!! They are talented and easy on the eyes! That's a tough one.. both bands are monumental and I love them both. The Beatles probably resonate with me a little more just because they transcend music. Every one in the world knows who they are and they've become a staple in pop culture. Their music was a little more complex especially in their final years when they started becoming more creative with sound/recording techniques. By the time they had broken up, they were a serious rock band with an indisputable talent and grace. The Stones are also one of my faves. Compared to the Beatles, they were a little more "raw" and had that rebellious edge to them. Keith Richards (the guitarist) was just about as crazy of a rockstar that you could be, apart from being a phenomenal musician as were the rest of the band. They wrote super catchy tunes and tended to stay grounded in the blues, even though they wrote some great psychedelic-inspired material, too. It's also a little hard to compare since the Beatles ended in 1970 and the Stones are still rocking and rolling today! Most people would probably side with The Beatles in this debate. Their lyrics and songs are just genius in every way, making them timeless and unmatched by any other group ever.

Thanks a ton man! One of my favorite more "obscure" Zepp tracks. I regret not having mixed this cover a little better since when I listen back to it, I realize I may have made the drums a little too thin/harsh-sounding. Unfortunately, KZbin doesn't let us swap just the audio out of the video, so I'll just have to learn from my mistakes 😅 Thanks for watching, I'll be doing more Zepp vids in the near future 👍🏻🤘🏻
