No Repeat Pokémon-a-thon - Part 1 - Red

I'm playing through all mainline Pokémon game - on hardware - and I can't use the same Pokémon in more than one game. Part 1 covers Pokémon Red Version, the very first game in the series I ever played.
Rules:
- Play all 39 mainline Pokémon games
- Pokémon can only be used in one game
- HM user count toward this total, to keep things interesting
- Like a nuzlocke, a fainted Pokémon must be released
- No items in battle
- No glitches
- Play each game on hardware. In the case of Pokémon Red, I'm playing on the Gameboy Player on Gamecube - so I don't have access to speed ups or cheats
