This is more like dungeon siege, the console game that looked like Diablo 3. But I think the big difference between souls-like & hack-n-slash is pack density, since it’s typically 1 enemy you intricately maneuver against: I’d say this is very different from PoE Looks great!

I'd say it depends on how capable your rig is. If you're running an older card (10 series for example) it'll probably run below 60 most of the time. Though if you're ok with that, the graphics and gameplay engine are actually decoupled so the input isn't determined by fps. Otherwise the game is amazing

I tried playing it. But The Performance on this game seems realy BAD right now! I can zoom in PoE doing Delirium and Legions and everything without lagging, yet this game runs stuttery at 15 FPS. I have to turn down the Resolution scale way down to get decent FPS, but then the game looks like my cat puked on the screen

Small advice - try actually keep your load at light from the start. By default it will actually put you at medium load - with roll dodge. Light dodge both much faster on response, on dodge itself, and uses significantly less stamina. Yes - you will take more damage when hit - but it will be soooo easier to avoid being hit. Tbh medium load most worthless in game. With heavy load you actually can absorb decent amount of damage + heavy dodge comes with additional shoulder bash. Light load just best for dodging. Medium load is just... meh. P.S. Also, just like in ER - magic is OP.

Looks cool but I don't like the healing or the limited inventory or the janky feel of the controls. I think ill wait for it to come out officially and hope they tweak it and get rid of a lot of unnecessary decisions.

Think the controls were really smooth, unless you're talking about playing m&k which i cannot speak on, but the game literally says it recommends a controller, kinda like the souls games.

@masterpills mm idk, i haven't seen many reviews, but for me, the controls seemed really smooth. I am playing with a controller with back paddles, though, so im sure thats maybe helping it seem smoother? But im only really using that to sprint and dodge, which are the same button. With the back paddles i can freely sprint and dodge while keeping my thumb free for attacking. What are ppl complaining abt specifically? If its m&k i get it, cause these types of games usually are designed with a controller in mind and just let you move around smoother.

@masterpills mm idk, all i can speak on is my experience, and i had a good time, didnt have any issues with controls. Maybe people are comparing it to diablo when theyre complaining about delayed controls? But this games closer to the souls series than diablo-likes in terms of gameplay and that just how the combat works in those games, they lock you into animations so you get punished if you're not playing right. And the control scheme isnt anything i havent seen before, having dodge and sprint bound to the same button (A) is done often, X to attack pretty normal, and thats literally all there is to the controls. Dodge, sprint, attack, parry, and block, all bound in very standard ways. idk whats wrong the controls for people, maybe its something super specific that just doesnt bother me for some reason, idk. If you are interested, though, I'd definitely recommend this game. Id say wait a little longer if you are gonna pick it up just for there to be more zones and bosses cause going around exploring and fighting bosses is when the games at its best.

Bought it through your affiliate link. Wish I had waited a bit because while I love the devs, I haven't loved the game so far. The patches have helped a bit, but it's pretty slow-going due to the difficulty. It feels very punishing early on, but hopefully it gets a bit easier as you progress.

@@Odyssey636 I don't play soulslike games and I have a PC I just built a month or two ago, so I haven't had that experience at all. Keybinds and no pausing when in the menu is definitely something annoying they need to work on and should have been in day 1.

​@@gesto211it's called an isometric hack'n'slash game, that's what diablo was called. It's a mix of the crpg genre with dungeon crawling, the isometric viewpoint and beat'em up inspired playstyle called hack'n'slash (beat'em up were fighting games hack'n'slash were sword and board games).

I like the game but some plot cliches are a bit old like every game either having you start off naked on a beach or in a jail cell. The fact that as soon as you get on a ship you can guess its going to sink from something is also telling.

Sadly the horrid platforming ruins and otherwise interesting game. Got a few hours in and I just can't with the shitty platforming. Very sad cause I do think there's alot of good stuff in the game. :(

It's not an ARPG. It's a dark souls clone, It's okay. I wouldn't spend the 40 bucks on it... You can... However... Sail the seas and find it if you wanna try it :)

Than dont. Better to right click mindless 0 challange bosses. Dodge rolling its about timing or making cool combos, etc. You dont need to understand, so you can save yourself the trouble to do it

@@sophtspoken9331 tell me you've never gone past boss1 without telling me. 🤣🤣Because this is literally what I felt when I start the game. every randomshits be halving my HP. But later on, you can take hits when you're gearing properly. You don't have to 'dodge' random mobs and elite anymore.
