Thanks for the update. Up here in Ontario we went through that in the spring and summer. They ended up opening the camp grounds but closed the showers. No better place to be than outdoors.

Almost out of here (north), rig all mended up to tow 4 down, next is front end alignment shop, then 4 new 22.5 tires shop, then van power steering pump. Finally,,,,, off down 95 for Florida.

Good info here, Bobby! I too have a 38 year old son. He just signed a contract to work for Major League Soccer for 40 weeks based in Los Angeles. He mainly lives in hotels that MLS pays for. Do not know how this will all work out for him. I, for one, would be sad if you decided to pull the plug. I agree with you that it makes no sense to be targeting RVers, especially if they have self-contained RVs, with bathrooms and sinks. Stay well in these crazy times.

I totally agree with you!! I’m not effected, in SW Florida. Which btw, all grounds are packed, but generally, campers keep to their own and distance. Makes No sense to shut them down. Could simply enforce a few rules ( gatherings) but should keep them open.

Yes, I think there are some who don't realize there are full time RV travelers that don't have a sticks and bricks home. If you close the campgrounds, they have to go find some public land somewhere to boondock on. :(

Interesting. I noticed other local law enforcement heads following suit. They don't want to get their names on a list of civil lawsuits should some orders that later are found to be unconstitutional, I'm assuming as one reason.

A quick comment on your vlog: Although some of California's restrictions seem to be inconsistent, they might not be. RVers might be able to maintain social distancing once they are parked, but it is the movement to the spot where they can hunker down that is the problem. RVers are a mobile bunch, and how many really want to hunker down for an extended stay of two to three months? And honestly some people do not believe in the seriousness of this pandemic. Unrestricted movement means unrestricted movement of the virus. California's ICU capacity is very close to being full, and in some counties they are currently at capacity. Good Samaritan Hospital in Santa Clara County has erected a tent in the parking lot, and they are receiving COVID patients from other California counties whose ICU units are full. Imagine being sick in a tent in a parking lot! We are going through tough times in California, some people more than others, but these times require everyone to understand that we all have a part to play in slowing the virus so that we can get back to our normal lives. Hopefully that will happen in 2021.

Born & raised in California.... 1) some of the RV pks are on county property (haven't heard of these closures, but will ck into) 2) part of the prob is staffing, to clean, maintenance etc. 3) gatherings of more than 10 at the sites 4) parks offer credit or refunds as the did back in March 5) part of the problem here in LA county are those eating at restaurants & bars. I've personal seen lg grps & no mask wearing. There have been & will be "under ground" bars open. Pasadena is one of the cities with their own health dept, therfore their protocols are slightly diff. I personally was at a restaurant & left due to too many people in close proximity & poor ventilation. Coming home from AZ after camping driving by Cabazon outlet, there were tons of shoppers. Part of the prob is some are not using common sense. I also know of people who work at a restaurant & tested positive, my grand dgt worked at Target & more than 4 employees tested positive; Target gave empl 200.00 bonus ( I would say that was huss 💲) I filled a complaint at Sam's club for not cleaning a cart aft I seen someone else use it then an emp gave it to me. Some business have become complacent in basic health practices. I can go on & on; bottom line if we all don't do our part more people are going to die. I too am a health care worker & it's tuff out there especially for those who try to do their part.

As responsible adults, once armed with the scope and knowledge of what we're dealing with, individuals should go out of their way to do, or not do, what needs to be done to protect ourselves as a country regardless of what state or who is in office. Most of the campgrounds in PA are closed for the season. They made an announcement the other day about State and Federal parks and most of them are open but group gatherings are off limits. I don't know about BLM land or facilities but it's amess to be sure. Stay safe and be well.

Thanks for the info Gene, there are a lot of things that don't make sense as to what is open and what is closed. I did some camping this summer and for the most part, everyone wore a mask and stayed apart in their own area. But then there were people like the 30 something man with his 8 year old son whose was from Calif. who told me I should F***ing die old man when I asked him to wear a mask in the bathroom. Then there are youtuber campers who filmed themselves having meetups without mask and were sharing food, while others seem to be very good about following social distancing and mask wearing. The biggest inconsistencies are with the politicians that tell us not to travel, eat out and gather for in groups of 10 or more and now less, but allow people to gather in large groups and cause $$$$$$ in damage, but you can't eat out. I have a mayor that told us not to gather, fly for Thanksgiving, yet got onboard an airplane for several hours, had a Thanksgiving party and then told us his heart won out in his better judgement. There are lots of other examples of the rich and famous who these rules don't apply, ie they needed a blow dry, and the sad part is we keep electing these people to office. I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and yes this will be over in about 5 months if people will vaccinate.

I think the only possible justification for these rules in California is to discourage people from entering California during these dangerous times. No other State offers the variety of drop dead beautiful outdoor experiences and people flock to California to escape the cold in most of the other States. I think a more reasonable approach would be to allow California Residents to use the parks without restrictions, and during these pandemic peaks discourage people to stay away, but do it in a compassionate and common sense manner. If you drove your RV out here from Minnesota to spend a couple of months exploring the beauty of California and to escape the winter the restrictions could be modified to minimize the problems they can face by these sudden restrictions. California is a different place, there are way too many people and every problem associated with "too many people" is magnified here. Once we are rid of the mass murderer in the Oval Office, we can snuff this plague out just as past pandemics have been. It isn't rocket science.....we know what has to be done and in this national emergency every single person needs to follow the guidelines that Biden and his team are already preaching. Just pray to every God you know that mass murderer #2, Moscow Mitch is rendered powerless.

Because I love travel, the outdoors, adventure, and vlogging my experiences and knowledge in hopes others will benefit by learning something new or just being entertained. Once our world stabilizes and gets back underway, so will I. Right now I'm renovating my 'home base' and waiting on the arrival of grandbaby #2 in early January! :) Full time RV travel was a huge part of my life and I have a lot of interest, knowledge and experience to share until I get back to 'part time' travel. Meanwhile feel free to 'change the channel' lol Don't waste time watching what doesn't interest you cheers!
