Dude probably accidentally hit the exit from the cockpit. Probably was kicking himself all the way back through the clouds then backspace himself before abstracting himself all over some platform.

Happend a few times to me as well. Normally you "should" exit your seat into the ship, but on this patch you'll randomly exit via the ladder...

The dude didn't jump out on purpose. There's a open bug with the Avenger Titan when you try to exit your seat it triggers the exit the ship function, even if you're in QT. It's actually happening more often than not but for some reason, you didn't get the bug.

@@H.O.D.S What probably happened was, he knew you were back there, so he sent his ship on a course out of the armistice zone, and he was going to try to shoot you as soon as the ship left the armistice zone, but the bug made him exit out of the wrong door.

@@H.O.D.S my guess is that by jumping with the ship flying, and no chance to get to the cabin because of the cargo (proved wrong), he expected you to have no other chance than die or stay there until the end of the fuel/time.

@@H.O.D.S Did that accidentally about a dozen times when I first started and didn't know the keybinds for doing stuff in the cockpit - was just way to easy to select "Exit" with the mouse while trying to use the LH MFD... probably the easiest, but most lame expaination :-P

Imagine if CIG made a "zero to hero" mode. In it you create a new character and you're locked out of the ships you bought and you start on a planet outpost that has vehicle rentals and shops that sell essentials and you have to do missions and favors for NPCs to gain enough money to buy a star ship!

For me what was funnier is not the fact that the guy jumped off the ship but how the animation looked. He opened the cabin, unpacked the ladder in the air, climbed down the ladder through the ship texture 1 meter below the ladder texture, jumped on an imaginary floor and only then yeeted off. I guess people playing this game got used to such stuff but for me it looked hilarious.

one tip, you can unlock the ship so you can always open it or interact with doors, even if you arent the owner (hence unlocking it). another tip is you can shoot/punch doors as they have a hp bar and will open when they hit 0 hp.

The avenger pilot probably pressed Y to exit pilot seat so he could confront you out of armistice zone, not realising it would chuck him out of the ship rather than let him enter the back of the ship. x)

The issue is ij 3.q8 loadong the profile isnt working right mosly. Alot of things wont map frpm it properly and broken. So you havw to manually go through and eemap alot of them

This is why the Titan remains one of my favorite mission ships. 2 ways for easy in and out, big enough ramped cargo compartment to pull in lots of loot, aerodynamic, nimble and can park it almost anywhere.

@@H.O.D.S well, I looked it up, in this program the referral gets 5000 additional United Earth Credits to their default starting credits, when the game will leave its alpha status. And alpha UEC every reset until that.

Yeah you get it each time it resets. So for 3.18 wipe and then if it wipes again you will get it each time.

Dude!!!! Duuuuuuuuude!!!! Such an amazing adventure! I have hopped on my friends alt account to be his turret gunner, medic, and to help him unload/steal stuff. I didnt like how the game was buggy, but I considered buying a starter package. So, a couple of points... 1. The titan you stole was so much better than I imagined. I was thinking I might need the drake cutlass as my starter ship, but the Titan seemed like a sturdy and fun option able to take out bigger ships under the right circumstances. 2. I think the games bugs can actually be in your favor if you are a lawless type. When you blew apart the titan at the end it was hilarious. 3. Quick question... can you use a salvage ship like the vulture in atmosphere? Seems like there are wrecked ships laying everywhere that could net a lot of loot.

The Avenger pilot bailing out was really strange, especially since pressing Y defaults to exiting the pilot’s seat to the back of the cockpit. He would’ve had to hold F, looked to the side of the cockpit canopy, and clicked Exit Ship to do that. Doing that by accident doesn’t seem plausible. Perhaps he (wrongly) assumed it was impossible for you to get past the cargo boxes in the back and reach the cockpit, so he was trying to trap you in ship bound for deep space. You didn’t Unlock the ship; that’s why you were having such a hard time getting back in. If you press F and mouse over the cockpit controls, you’ll eventually find it next to the Open/Close Doors button. Wielding a Grenade Launcher in-doors is a BAD IDEA, especially if you were worried about other players lurking around a non-AZ outpost. If I had been lucky enough to loot a GL that early, I’d deposit it in my Local inventory ASAP. You can safely leave anything at an Outpost’s Local inventory and return for it later - at least until the next inventory reset. (I often deposit outpost loot to Local then forget to transfer it to my ship’s inventory and find that loot days or weeks later.) It’s smart to loot outposts to start - I always recommend this to new players - but my next step would be to clear a criminal bunker and loot it. You’ll gain plenty of weapons, ammo, armour sets, undersuits, meds, and utilities, and selling the loot you don’t want or need is a better early source of income than Box Delivery missions. Your (stolen) ship is your most prized possession and any ship combat endangers it, so you should avoid it as much as possible until you have a solid foundation of creds. Also, if you have no CS, you can safely land at SPK and loot there. Often times you’ll find dead NPCs killed by other players, dead players, and their SHIPS. It’s all yours for the taking!
