I'm a retired mechanic Jerry and I think this is a great basic troubleshooting video. Amazing how often it's something basic that's keeping your stuff from running. Take care and stay warm.

I’d check to see if my older brother put sugar or flour in the tank or bb’s into the carburetor. Next I’d check to see if my older brother cut the fuel line. Then I’d check to see if my older brother drained the oil out of the crank case and threw away the oil drain plug. Then I’d check to see if my older brother slashed the tires or cut the brake cables. Can’t be too paranoid with an older brother like mine.

I got an email showing that you left me a reply on another video but for some reason its not showing up so I’ll leave my reply here and hopefully you’ll see it. At 6’ 5” you are going to be really tall for the bike, I feel comfortable on the Thunder at 6’ 1” but I’m not sure how comfortable you’d be at your height especially if you have long legs. The front forks are set all the way for its tallest stance and can’t be raised anymore so a taller rear shock might really throw off the geometry of the bike. You can probably install a taller rear shock and make it work fine but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to do so, that would be something you would have to decide I guess. Sounds like you have great plans for the Thunder though and I wish you well with it. I’d like to see a picture of it when completed. 😊

@ I’m sorry about that first comment. I deleted it. I’m basically looking for a bike that is short enough to fit in an 8’ bed with a 20” wide tool box that will hold a 12k lb winch inside of it and not so tall that it won’t fit under a homemade shell covering the bed composed of two sets of bed racks 23” tall covered with sheets of 3/8” inch thick plastic sheeting that will have gas strut assist doors that open on the sides. These will be to allow air flow through the shell and provide shade on the sides of the truck. The bed floor will be composite boards topped with aluminum ramps 9” wide bolted lengthways along the floor to provide traction for atv’s and dirt bikes and protection from skid marks on the custom bed floor. Two sections of the floor in the middle will be unattached so that I can slide them out and provide a ramp with which to roll an atv or dirt bike up into the bed. It’s a ‘78 square body Chevy 4x4 that I bought for $300 two years ago. It’ll have a modern custom interior and a 2” lift with mud tires. It’s going to be a show truck that I can use as a camping rig and work truck. When there’s no atv or dirt bike in the bed I can sleep in the back with my dog when I go to a nearby lake with my friends and ride jet skis and 4 wheelers and such. We go every weekend in the summer and swim and get sunburnt. They all drink but I don’t. I just do the cooking and haul trash away for them. My neighbor and I are part of a two man custom car and truck business that he owns and I work for free. We both do equal amounts of work but he likes to do the painting but I can paint too. I just don’t want to unless I have to because it makes me kind of sick breathing in the fumes even in a full protective suit and mask. It’s called Bain customs. You can see some cars and trucks we’ve done on Facebook. Next year some time I’ll put a 5.3 ls engine in the truck for more power and better gas mileage.

@ That’s awesome, I love those old square body trucks! I have the 5.3L engine in my truck and was shocked by the amount of power that it has. I’ve owned several trucks over the years but this truck will run circles around any of them. Only issue I’ve had was the valve train. I had to replace the cam, lifters, lifter buckets (plastic) push rods, rocker arms and while I was at it replaced the timing gear set. Cost me $1000 in parts but it runs amazing and pulls my 28ft RV incredibly. Sounds like you guys have lots of fun with all the activities. I’ll have to check out you guys work.
@AdamSander-b3b4 сағат бұрын
@ When I bought the truck it had a bad cam, lifters and timing chain and I replaced all that too. So far I’ve been able to get parts exclusively from eBay and I’ve checked out the bikes they have but they’re not as cool as that 125 you have. If it’s a little too small for me that’s ok. The kids I hang out with will have a blast riding it. I can tool around town on it and ride it on the dirt bike trails out of town. There’s no law enforcement where I live so people can ride atv’s and dirt bikes all over without worrying about being caught. The only real law man is the mayor who is a retired u.s. marshal and I ride to church with him on Sunday mornings so he probably won’t care. I just do this kind of work for fun. I can spend all day doing it. Hence the handle Adam sander. Because I sand on cars all day. lol

Do you think the thunder is. Good started bike for someone that is 5’2
@herbiesgarage68119 сағат бұрын
@@Monomoybikes1335 Hello, it would be a good starter bike but it is kind of tall and at 5’2” you would probably be on your tip toes or balls of your feet. It is smaller than a Japanese 125cc bike and probably easier to ride because it only has 8.5 hp and is pretty forgiving. I think if you’re comfortable on the balls of your feet then it would make a good starter bike. I did lower mine for my grandson to ride simply by lower the front forks in the triple tree clamps and buying a shorter rear shock.
