@Gravity Slave while I disagree on the diversity statement, I agree with not changing the source material. Diversity can be a positive effect because it gives minorities of different racial, religious, and sometimes even different gender backgrounds a chance to have their voice heard and their people represented. Cause throughout most of history, white people have dominated the majority of film and TV. So when a film like In the Heights or Crazy Rich Asians comes around, it’s special because it shines the spotlight on overlooked social groups and societies. However, I do agree you shouldn’t change the existing source material for the sake of diversity. Diversity is best used when it’s allowed to have characters that stand on their own and not just a rehash of older stuff. Let’s take a look at 2 examples of this: a Black Spider-Man and a Black Superman. Miles Morales works on his own because he’s not just a Black/Puerto-Rican rehash of Peter Parker, but rather his own character (hate when people compare him to Peter like he doesn’t have to be compared to a white character to have any significance. He’s stands perfectly fine on his own feet). What WB wanted to do with making Clark Kent Black though is a different story. It completely takes away from the Superman character as we know him. An icon that’s been represented for years that everyone accepts. Changing his race would just push a social agenda that’s not suited for that type of story.

I was a young teen when I watched Casino Royale and I knew nothing about Bond movies. All I knew at the time was Pierce is the actor cause I’ve seen his Bond movies on TV. When I saw this blond dude I was so confused, I had no idea they changed actor. By the end of the movie, I became obsessed with Daniel. He’s so cool and badass, I hope this movie is good!
@GabesEdtiz2 жыл бұрын
@Gravity Slave that’s the gist of what I’m trying to say. You shouldn’t ruin the source material for wanting diversity. They should make their own characters if they want it so bad. Though Idk how Spider-Man comes into this. Like I said, Miles is his own character separate from Peter Parker in the multiverse. Making a Black Clark Kent, however, is wrong and completely changes the character of Superman for the sake of diversity

@Kanye West Skyfall was great. But Specter was meh. So I dunno about all time low because i've seen much worse Bond flicks like Quantum, Die another day...etc I'm familiar with Fukunaga's work. Beasts of No Nations is one of the few good Netflix original films and Sin Nombre (his debut feature) is a more than solid crime/drama. I've seen True detective and thought it was pretty good even though I'm generally not a TV show kind of guy. I'm looking forward to his Bond movie but I'm always skeptical of new releases these days for obvious reasons.

@Kanye West look the gist of my comment boils down to it's writers and directors who make or break a film. The actors just do what they tell him and it pisses me off when I see them take all the credits. Besides Craig is not exactly a worldclass actor. He's been weak in alot of films but he's lucky with his film choices recently Knives out was great but his performance and that awful accent almost ruined it for me.

A Fantastic ending to the Craig bond era. There's never been a more emotionally impactful Bond film and likely, there never will be again. This film delivered a fitting send-off to Daniel Craig's Bond. The story is somewhat formulaic (the villain's motives are somewhat pathetic/underwhelming), however the film is emotionally charged and well paced. For the first time ever, we see James Bond getting truly emotionally involved and showing his humanity and spirit. The supporting cast play their roles to perfection. Ana de Armas was electric and her moments on screen were a real highlight. No time to die is a great film. For Bond fans, it's an absolute must. Even for just casual movie-goers, it's still a wonderfully fantastic affair.

I was heartbroken at day one after watching the film. It was very thrilling and emotional movie. There was some point when I jumped in my seat and scream of the unexpected explosions, (quite embarrassing to the person sitting next to me) and I also put my hand in my heart knowing the anticipation of the ending..then tearful in the end. My husband didn't mind. Just glancing at me how I would react to every scenes :). I couldn't believe that DC's James Bond ending, not the usual kisses and embrace with the leading lady and riding through the sunset.. This is different. I would say memorable at least in my generation. Why? Because this is definitely the best James Bond at all times but I am still having this feeling that I wished it could have ended differently and hoping to come out in the cinema with the big smile on my face! I feel like watching the film again not just about the story but all the parts that I missed. I read alot of discussions in the beginning like hints to Maddy's secret. By the way, I love watching Lea Seydaux and Daniel (I love all their scenes form Spectre and I would have loved to see more of them! ) and others too - great casts! I love them all in one package. I know lots of men didn't like the ending and the vulnerability of JB here, everyone has got different opinions. this is what makes DC different. I am still emotional and I don't know why, I am not usually joining social media to express how I feel but well done -great film! I love quality films. I love you Lea and Daniel and everyone. Every time a new Bond came out, my dad and I would get tickets and go to the theatre together, it's still something we look forward to. When Craig was announced as the new Bond, I remember so many critics hating the idea almost writing the series off. 15 years later, the decision to cast Daniel Craig as Bond, in my opinion, holds up as the best direction the series has ever taken. The original Bonds were mostly quirky, fun and a young boys fantasy but Daniel Craig's Bond has emotion, he has grit, he's human. The fun gadgets and espionage that helped me fall in love with the series are still there but in a more reasonable dosage and Craig, as this more grounded Bond, continually keeps me engaged. @@space_monkey5662 well, it's not that Roger Moore was good or better than some others, he was that way for ME. He was the bond I grew up with at first. His movies were made in an era where campy was good. He had that personality on screen. I like DC a ton, I just don't necessarily put him first. To me, if there is too much action, it reminds me too much of a Mission Impossible or Jason Bourne movie. For me, Bond is more subtle and the spy type.

@Trey Stephens Tomorrow never dies wasn’t bad. Episodic? Sure but still a good watch. Narratively it doesn’t quite work because of the continuity to Goldeneye. The opening sequence in Russia still retaining that Soviet Union/Cold War theme. Thematically, it’s really interesting. The villain played by Jonathan price had contemporary motives. Controlling the media to bring about chaos. Basically a megalomaniac villain but it worked for me. I really like the world is not enough. That’s the closest one to goldeneye in terms of quality. You got a great soundtrack (garbage) a memorable villain (Robert Carlyle) excellent action sequences (opening speed boat chase across the river Thames) cool set pieces (nuclear submarine) in the climax.There’s a lot to like but sadly it’s overlooked. We shall not discuss die another day lol. Yes it’s the worst it’s the phantom menace of the franchise, it’s soo Corny, far-fetched OTT but I like it as a guilty pleasure. if only they made every Bond actor's movie as a series like Craig's Bond instead of standalone. that would be amazing.

Probably from here on out they will. Bond films aren't the best for continuity.

I absolutely despise that the Craig films are one, continuous story. One of the best things about the older ones is you can just pick up and watch any of them without trying to remember what the hell happened in the past 8 movies.

Saw the film today in IMAX, it is truly spectacular. Before this, I don’t think I’ve ever shed a tear for a bond film. A testament to telling a good story and loving Daniel Craig’s characterization of James Bond.

POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT I agree. As soon as I finished the movie, I walked out of theater 10 and into theater 11 to catch the second half again. I cried both times. Never thought that'd happen for me at a Bond film

Exactly why this Bond was torture watching it, Way to much unnecessary drama and not enough action, like a soap opera, glad its over 👍

This movie was so horrible, that I was very happy at the end that this is the end of my torment.

You are not supposed to "shed a tear" during a Bond Movie simp. Also, you must have never seen the ending to Her Magesty's Secret Service when Bonds WIFE is gunned down. Notice also how Bond didn't spend the next 15 years whining, crying, & brooding about it like Craig did about that drippy not hot annoying girl from his first movie. This was easily & by far The worst "Bond" movie ever made.

@@SolarScion Zimmer is good, but there was nothing in this trailer to really highlight anything special. We just heard something that looked like the Bond theme remixed, probably not even done by him. We really won't know till the movie arrives whether his score for the movie is good.
