I protested the then impending US led invasion of Iraq in 2002 and 2003. Even though my country was a participant in that crime, I never once feared for my safety or wellbeing or even career/friendship/realationship prospects for doing so. These protesters in Russia are brave. I hope the mad men in Moscow see that these are the sane people of Russia who should be listened to.

He also wants Ukraine as a permanently neutral state, dictate who it may and may not have relations with. He also wants to depose the current democratically elected government. Putin also wants Ukraine to destroy all its military equipment. The way he has talked about Ukraine in the past also suggests he wants to incorporate it into Russia either partly or entirely. Ukrainians on the other hand just want to not die. Don't believe his lies.
